bigmike015
Which skimmer should I use on my new 90 gallon? I got all these with the tank and don't really know which is better. I plugged in the red top ones and they did not bubble as much as the others I've used. Let me know what you think
+SChrisEV
I don't have details about any of them, but "did not bubble as much" may have everything to do with having the correct water volume (GPH) pushed through it and not the skimmer. I have an older Red Sea skimmer, works very well once tuned correctly. Also if you tested in fresh water there will be next to no bubbles, needs to be salt water. bigmike015
Good to know, I did test them in a bucket of fresh water. I am using one like the small one in my 40 gallon and it works good, I don't know which of these are better so just asking around.
wizardx322
The one on the left seems most promising as the other 2 are coralife and never had good experience with them personally
(Bio)³
I agree with wizard the left looks like a pm model maybe Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4
jestep
Another vote for far left. That's a solid pump compared to the others. 99% sure it's an AquaC EV skimmer, no idea which model, but all are suitable for a 90 and higher. http://www.proteinskimmer.com/Product%20Pages/EV%20Series.htm
victoly
Yep, concur with the braintrust on this one. Go with the one on the left. http://www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=CjjeGS_TaUc3LOeGLyQGdooHACY603OICvvHWtC_Oj734pAEIBRABIMmYogsoBVCCiIPpA2DJ7oeN5KTwE6AB9_Gr_wPIAQeqBCZP0HLh-3zysezRYVkeWFs6Ewd2wNC9-EYc5-h50kIaweQFaPoWtIAFkE66BRMIn7Ot0bOguAIVkFEqCh0BDwCuwAUFygUAoAYmuAYBgAfxjVTgEriKsZz17_q8Jg&ei=S_TaUd_hN5CjqQGBnoDwCg&sig=AOD64_3GUnX6BPBasmgugXh04HD0vy7LfA&ctype=5&rct=j&q=aquac+skimmer&sqi=2&ved=0CDIQwg8&adurl=http://www.catchmarketingservices.com/tracker1pt.php%3Fvar1%3Dmarinedepot%26var2%3Dadwordsfroogle%26var3%3D690%26pstpage%3Dwww.marinedepot.com/ps_viewitem.aspx%3Fidproduct%3DAC1131%26child%3DAC1131%26utm_source%3Dadwordsfroogle%26utm_medium%3Dcse%26utm_campaign%3Dadwordsfroogle%26utm_content%3DAC1131 That's an AquaC EV class skimmer. Pretty solid skimmer assuming you have the sump space for it.
