    Very nice tanks! They all look great in so many different ways! Here is my 40 breeder, plan on adding all this to the 90 when it's ready He is my 90 as of now, can't wait to add all the 40 gallon rock to it

    Why does my sand have purple algae growing on it?

      Sounds like Cynobacteria. Try increasing flow and reducing nutrients. Might do a search for "cyno" on the forums for tips.

      I turned my gfo reactor off for several days and I had cyano appear. GFO went back online yesterday so it should be gone in a couple of days.

    if my goby can clear the sand from under my rocks and around them to see the bottom of my tank, do i need more sand?

      I think that it would be a losing battle if you added more sand :)

    I love the true beauty of salt water tanks, I find my self sitting in a chair in front of my tank for a good 20 minutes, 2-3 times daily!! I LOVE SALTWATER!

    I hate when i get new corals and bring them home to my tank lights off, Now i have to wait till tomorrow to see what they look like in my tank!

      I always turn mine on when people come over after lights are off to show off my tank.
