I went ahead and bought more t5's because I needed new bulbs, and I'm going to have to save up for LEDs. I may even wait until I get a larger tank. Considering the slim lamp from BUILDMYLED, when you are ready to upgrade, just add one 4' LED lamp at a time while still using T5 above LED stick.
