  1. Ahh yea didnt think about the city side and the pressure. what if you turned down the city pressure with a valve? then fed the line into the city line. just run the 1/2 or 1/4 inch tube whatever it may be into it and let it drip in like it comes out of the waste side of the ro their is very little pressure on the ro side. i would wonder if it not having very much pressure if it would even work.. Mike i hope im not frustrating you, not meaning to, im just wondering.
  2. i liked the plate, mine is green and red/burgundy . i have never seen that type of color. its pretty cool looking.
  3. would be even better with a tankless water heater.. lol. i installed one in my house a few months before i sold it, it was the best upgrade i did to the house..
  4. well you could plumb it into the line before the hot water heater and it would work. you woud need a backflow in the line coming from the ro and then a pressure pump to force the water into the line. that would work. i would worry about sedement in the tank though. but i have been thinking about this and this is the only way i see it working on the hot water side. but a check valve or a backflow re stricter would be a must.
  5. id be interested in the biocube and the skimmer for my seahorse tank i want to build.
  6. i used it under my mag7 and didnt have that problem. i dont have the mag anymore im using a bigger pump but i did the same a small square under each foot..
  7. So you could do this if you added a second membrane to any ro/di? i was thinking about this before. just adding any membrane doesnt even have to be a certin gpd it could be a 25gpd and work? but i have always been told crap is crap you can polish it but its still crap, meaning the waste water is all the crap water, the bad stuff. I could see this ruining a new membrane fairly quick. seeing how it will be condenced with all the bad stuff from the initial filtration. anyone have any clue if this would be correct?
  8. I use a piece a cut your own filter the white kind that comes in sheets and is used for aquariums. i just put it under the pump problems solved..
  9. Stephen is right, thats why (by law) anything that comes from the house being gray water must have whats called a back flow re stricter so nothing can flow the opposite way and contaminate the source.
  10. I have been wondering this and i think about it alot. i wanted to get some other opinions on this im ure the corals dont care as much as the fish, atleast i think that cause they dont move around alot like fish do.. my question is this. do you think fih like living in our aquariums? do you think we take better care of them then they would take care of them selves in the wild? feeding them and making sure they are healthy and what not. do you think they ever have enough room to do what they need to? i have a 90g and i only have 3 fish 2 clowns and a pink spotted goby and i worry about them having enough space in my 90g. these mite be stupid questions, but i think about it alot.. are they truely happy is the main question...
  11. 4 Rottweilers, 2 Rott Mixes, 2 Foster Dogs thats alot of doggies.
  12. Its supposed to like high flow. but i dont have alot of flow over mine. i got my frag from Yasmin and she had it high already under 250w mh so i knew where i could put it and what it was used to. it helped alot.
  13. ill take it if it doesnt get picked up. i could use a spair. have you been storing if in ro water? if not i read they will dry out and go bad.

  19. Mine was just a couple days ago. i left the ro/di on and left that morning to have surgery on my knee it had been on all day for about 15 or 16 hrs, i had about 40g of ro on the floor when i got home. i live in an apartment and my ro is hooked up in the laundry room witch is basicly a closet by the kitchen and dining area. it reached all accross the floor. thank god i have a couple buddys that manage hotels so an extractor was secured the next day. it does smell pretty bad still even after 3 shampoos, im going to need to replace the pad. it was lovely to come home to =/
