They do oncology treatmend to an extent and have outsources to treat what they cant... They can provide references and seem to have a fair ammount of success with their treatments.. I wouldnt trust my little Ginger with anyone else.

Ive used Chemiclean which is similar and the instructions are very specific about turning the skimmer off. Try turning it off then back on after you do a water change, I can almost guarrante it will still bubble for a few hours.
Whatever you do, make it easily accessable, it will need regular maintenance. I use one for the same reason but its powered by a Maxi 1200 and fairly simple to get out for cleaning. Its made out of lockline so I can bend it to conform to the rock structure to hide it better.

Fill the reactor with ro water, add kalk, mix, settle, dose. Never mix and dose at the same time.. I hope youre using a ph monitor or plan on testing ph a few times a day. Kalk reactors are the only way to go as far as Im concerned..
Thanks for the great deal Sarah! Got it up and running all is good in acro land! These little filters are a great all around unit good for all kinds of things... GFO, phosban, carbon, sediment filter or just water movement, I now have three... lol

The bulb in the first pic with the blade connections is definately a 250 watter... That bulb pushes into the socket where as the 150 watter fits between to contact pins on the ends.
