  1. You'll have much better luck with Peppermint shrimp if you 'train' them,. By that I mean, put them in a seperate tank with a rock that has Aiptasia and dont feed the tank so the Aips are the shrimps only food source,.. Once you get them to eat the things, you'll stand a much better chance of them eating Aiptasia in the main tank, this has worked perfectly for me in the past.
  2. Let me see if I can find it and Ill get back to ya! I used it on Maxi 1200 and it did ok...
  3. If you're not dead set on screen, you can always try eggcrate or light diffusors to reduce jumping, its plastic and rigid so no need for a frame.
  4. I think I have one laying around somewhere, youre welcome to it so you can decide for yourself..

    ANY ID'S?

Hard to tell really, looks like it has potential though, almost A. Turakii-ish.. Nice!
  6. Remove the mushroom by scraping the rock where the base is attached, then move it to an appropriate place. You can eliminate the Majano by injecting them with the Alk part or B-Ionic or something similar, staight up calcium will work also.
  7. Lets see the A. Echinata!
  8. Those guys are pretty resilient, I wouldnt worry too much about it, just keep an eye on him.
  9. I have a bunch of these things, need them gone! The ones in the front, theyre not polyped out in the pic but trust me, theyre nice!
  10. Its an ongoing project, Im not sure where a trumpet would fit with this music but Im open for anything. If you already have songs that incorperate a trumpet, hey, bring it on!
  11. Where'd you get that and how much was it?
  12. Unfortunately, Monti eating nudis are probably one of the most difficult pests to eliminate, nothing seems to work 100% efficientl. As a last resort I tried applying kalk paste to the infested areas of the coral, although it did seem to have an effect on the nudis themselvs, it didnt have a long term affect on the eggs, resulting in total removal of all Montepora species from the system.
  13. Im using a Spectrapure Plus 60gpd with a tested rejection rate of 98.5 and Im very happy with it, a little pricey though. Rejection rates will lessen with more gpd, a typical 100gpd membrane will have rejection rate of around 90, so Id stick with a 75gpd or less. And I second Buckeyefield, Ive been doing business with Russ for years.
  14. Cool! I talked to Garrett and he said he'd be there! I also spoke to Robert and he said he'd do his best and would let me know something this evening, both of those guys have new borns so Im sure their time is gonna be limited. We'll just have to see what happens..... Still looking for a keyboard player!!!
  15. Hello??? Anybody out there??? Ya skeered? lol

  18. If your caulerpa is going sexual, youre using the wrong kind... addboy, take your aggression out on your guitar! lol
  19. Its best to do a reverse lighting schedule on a fuge to help stabilize night time Ph swings.
  20. Looks like we have most of the bases covered, lead, rhythm, bass and drums, what we need now is some keys, any organ players out there??? Renman, keep an eye on this thread, never know what might evolve! ifly, Im really looking for players that can set some time aside to work on this project and not just jam. Im sure most of us are equaly as busy with stuff. Im looking for a few folks willing to put some time into the music and make it sound sweet.
  21. addboy, that freekin neurotic mokey is beginning to get on my nerves. lol. Ill let you know when we'll be doing this soon. ifly, it'll most likely turn into a jam, but if you read through the whole thread, Im wanting to put a cd together so eventualy its gonna take some committment and input on a regular basis to make it happen. We definately need a bass player so youre in! Andrew, keep an eye on this thread for updates, I can be fairly flexible as to dates and times. Most of the songs I have are originals so a list probably wont do you any good right now. Ill supply charts for most of them when we gat together.
  22. Are ya'll still up for this? Probably mid November either Tuesday or Thursday evening. Check your calendars!

  24. For a theme tank it would be cool, but for a reef tank housing acros, it wont work nearly as well, mainly because of non-reflective proporties. You will also lose the buffering abilties of oolitic/calcium type substrates. Never heard of black sand releasing P04. Whats its base composition?
