  1. The new skin looks GREAT on my Google phone. However, I can't get to "My Messages" without going back to the full version. Was that a deliberate omission for technical reasons, or can that be added in as well? For reading through the forums on my phone, the new skin rocks. Excellent work!

I've got some green zoas (radioactive dragon eyes) if you're interested.
  3. Oh, WAY ahead of you, there! Shortly after I got this tank, I lost three fish and a fire shrimp to a hitchhiker crab that took me three months to catch. This one looks like a baby Xanthid, so in the sump he stays!
  4. I pulled my skimmer out today while installing a new sump and saw this in the pump housing. I've had the tank for about two years, and I had NO idea this guy was living in my skimmer chamber.
  5. I've got three hermit crabs that I need to find new homes for. All of these guys are fairly large, with shells in the 2-3" range. One is a thin-stripe. The other two I've never been able to get a solid ID on. The photo over-emphasizes the red in their coloration - they're actually a deep burgundy, really pretty as crabs go. ; ) I've got them in a small FOWLR right now, so I have no idea how they'd behave in a mixed tank, but to be conservative, I would not consider any of them reef-safe. Asking $5 each. Trades welcome.

    Fish for sale

I'm clearing out my small tank in order to get some seahorses after Christmas. I have four sergeant majors, ranging in size from 1" to about 2-1/2" long. All of them are eating like pigs and will eat anything you put in the tank. I also have a mollie miller blenny that's about 3" long. Asking $5 each for the sergeant majors and $10 for the blennie. Will happily accept trades.
  7. If you don't want to go with something with as much oomph as pool acid, HEB usually sells a stronger vineger at 9-10% instead of the usual 5%. I've also had a fellow reefer tell me to remove the rubber suction cups from the Koralias before soaking b/c the acid makes them brittle.
  8. Cheri's down in San Antonio. You'll be hard-pressed to find a nicer person to deal with.
  9. Mark, do you mean the Hong Kong Market at Fairfield and 183?
  10. I'm this close to converting my 20-gal to a seahorse tank. I'm interested in finding out who currently has seahorses and what species are being kept. I want to get my knowledge resources lined up before I get started. ; )
  11. Does anyone know a place in North Austin that sells seaweed sushi? I can find nori easily enough at HEB, but I'm particularly interested in ogo (sometimes called, "limu"), which is made from Gracillaria.
  12. Thanks for the knowledge, Mike. The question of sched 80 came up b/c the used OM SuperSquirt I picked up a while back has sched 80 unions already attached. Can you point me to some good local resources for sched 10 fittings?
  13. Two questions about gluing up PVC: 1) Are there any issues/concerns/risks involved when gluing Sched 40 parts to Sched 80 parts, and when gluing SpaFlex to either? 2) What's the difference between "standard" PVC cement and the "rain-or-shine" version? Thanks! Derry
  14. Full adult size, as opposed to the smaller ones.
  15. It hasn't happened to me personally, but I used to have one that would grab at my perculas, and RC is full of warnings from people who have lost fish.
  16. The bigger emeralds have been known to take out small fish from time to time.
  17. I've got some LED moonlights that became extraneous when my new light rig came in. Two light pucks, plus a 6' power cord. Asking $8 or trade (esp. zoas).
  18. I'm shutting this down and piggy-backing off of the Vivid order instead.
  19. The price actually goes UP by $5 if the total order cost goes over $225. The LiveAquaria site doesn't sell food, only livestock. All dry goods are done through the Foster & Smith site, with their own shipping prices and policies.
  20. My only concern is that anything Vivid could get between now and Tuesday wouldn't have any acclimation/quarantine time at their holding facility. That's why I'm opting not to buy these locally. I think I'm gonna stick to LiveAquaria this time around.
