  1. I ran 4 Yellow Tangs and a Clown Tang in my 180. It worked out ok. The aggression was spread out a lot. But in the end I didn't get the school effect just lots of yellow in the tank. Each tang had its own territory. I hope it works out better for you.
  2. Round tanks are a must. There's also special pump requirements for the returns. I've seen specific jellyfish tanks for sale before but they were 5 grand for something like 25 gals. Would make an awesome bedroom tank though.
  3. My father had the same issue. His skimmer was pulling in the CO2 from the stale air in his stand. He wasnt willing to open windows so he bought a CO2 scruber. He's ph was back up and stable after that.
  4. I've got several acans and was trying to get some more info on them as too light levels. Some say it doesn't matter others say low light. I'm target feeding but still looking for optimal growth rate. I'm running 3 150w HQIs and 4 96w actinics with the acans at a depth of 14-20 inches.
  5. My ATO is a different pump/switch combo. Right now its tied to a ph probe then waits an hour before rechecking ph and dosing again. At least I hope that's what I programed. But I premixed the kalk in a bucket and only put the middle water in the reactor. My PM reactor doses from the top.
  6. Ok so I'm guessing I add some flex in it to since it may take abit for things to equal out. But it dosed for 30 secs last night without an issue. I'm just worried about the ph swing from over dosing.
  7. Do I use the ph or time or whatever to pump kalkwasser? Its all on a controller.
  8. I should be there along with the wife.
  9. LOL my point. The tub says to mix, settle, then skim. So I'm putting the skimmed section into the reactor to be further mixed and pushed into the tank. I hope that's correct.
  10. So do the settle thing then put into the reactor? I would think its just mix and go with a reactor
  11. I'm hooking up the kalkwasser reactor tonight. The mix says I have to let it settle out and skim out only the middle water. Does the reactor and the stirring make this a wasted task?
  12. No desire to go to work tomorrow! Maybe I should call in sick

I have Aquaroche. It takes abit to get going but I would easily do it again. Just dont forget to rinse off the pieces before you put them in.
  14. I do admit that I have "liberated" afew fish from petco now and again in the recent years. ( A rough looking Naso being the latest whos now doing very well) While I havent had any huge issues Im sure its different from store to store. Its really a roll of the dice imo
  15. I'd love that black sun coral! But I'm away from the house until end of the month. If its still around Ill buy it.
  16. I use a rubbermaid stock tank for a sump. Works great.
  17. Im guessing the shipping will be to someones house and the standard split up from there?
  18. Looks like Ill be able to go. Making a trade at RCA for some frags but would love to swing by and say hey to everyone.
  19. Ive got the same thing from vivid and mines doing well. 3 new polyps since I got it from you and its on the sandbed under 3 150w MH (2 14k 1 20k). It was brown from a day awhile back but then went back to the norm. No idea why though.
  20. Nice to see another reefer in HH! I see group orders on the horizon! LOL
