  1. I know what you mean, if I get GHA problems I develop a drinking habit as well
  2. Let me know man, I can assist in setting one up, designing one for your space (no charge, for the lulz) and I have a tds meter you can use to check your water, pre and post ro
  3. #1 Do you have a TDS meter? if so what is your TDS of your water (pre-salt mix) #2 Algae turf scrubbers....seriously, I have turned around GHA-Laden tanks with one a few times. and they are cheap/simple to make
  4. Thanks for all the offers, bought some off LuckyLou.
  5. No problem...just don't go gushing on about my setups
  6. Toys (Vortech mp10wes and ReefKeeper Elite w/net, moonlight controller, and wireless module - all unconfigured o_O ) Needed/missing: Tunze ATO,
  7. More pics to come, as it is now "setup"and cycling (still need to mount and fix cords etc) all shot with my iPad so no photo critiques please
  8. Most likely a separate pump, but in the hob, I was thinking cigar tubes, or testubes, maybe even a toothpick holder or epoxy vial. And yes, there will be a DIY if successful...or daring...or drunk enough to attempt.
  9. Well the fuge is just a modified hob filter and i will probably use in so manner to hang the reactors, i guess ill test it out...
  10. What can you make in a waffle? Good job, I made a frittata...in the shape of a pan
  11. Let me know...what I have is shot.
  12. As silly as it sounds, i am considering making a few small reactors for my daughter's pico tank. is there any reason why making a small phosphate reactor wouldn't work (and I do understand the challenges of getting the flow to be low enough for something sooo small, but i have a few ideas (manifold one pump to several reactors and a fuge). is there any reason say a 5 FL. OZ. (or less) reactor wouldn't work? if not (other than the entire idea is silly - which I know it is) I think I will make an interesting how-to in a few days...
  13. yes, i did...and it is on the plan now as well. I scrapped the plan to retro fit into the pendant as the Kessil on an arm doesnt look too bad without a cover ...but I was able to retrofit it in the pendant, the problem was the chrome "arm" that comes with the cardiff, the Kessil cord has a male - female connector and fishing the cord through the chrome arm was impossible due to the size of the barrell connector on the kessil...so I bought the kessil arm cause I am lazy and it was cheap ($40)
  14. I have a free pc light fixture ...one "leg" is broken on it...but you could gut it into a hood or hang it - it is for a 55 gallon
  15. Kalkwasser directly applied, with all circulation off...I do it in a QT (when it isn't a structural rock) to avoid the Kalk wasser paste getting allover the place (on corals etc) i think saltyunderground has a writeup on it
  16. I'd say it looks a lot like a majano, but that is again, just me...but also in my opinion...I'd rather eliminate a potental pest and be wrong, than not eliminate it and be wrong see also: http://www.melevsreef.com/pics/bta/not/majano.html
  17. well, she arrived and has seen her gift...and of course...loves it...but dislikes the location in the house
