    I have a Cardiff (rounded solana) and HIGHLY recommend getting an led such as the Kessil A150w - bright, low power consumption, small enough to fit in the fixture or sleek enough to leave exposed. And 0 heat issues.

    #1 Do you have a TDS meter? if so what is your TDS of your water (pre-salt mix) #2 Algae turf scrubbers....seriously, I have turned around GHA-Laden tanks with one a few times. and they are cheap/simple to make
