  1. Just a note for future reference. I know the order is gone now/ On BRS you will see the prices listed 'as low as'. If you get a group buy organized, that 'low' price often becomes your price for just buying one - about a 20% savings. The 10 people don't absolutely positively have to order even. They just want 10 names to start. After that, most of the people just piggy back on 2 or 3 orders, depending on your part of town. The slight downside is, it does take a little longer for a group buy, as the discount prices don't normally get posted untill Tuesday, and you have to 'qualify' before that. I don't know about shipping discounts. Most of the order I was in, in the past DID NOT have free shipping, but perhaps we just didn't make the minimum??

  2. Well drats. I bought this at a good price and just now have come to the realization it's just too much upgrade and ongoing expense over my 75 :D It's a standard 4x2x2. The glass is good. I can see a few scratches but very few. It was full of water for days before I bought it with no signs of leaks. There is a stand, no canopy. The stand could use a coat of black on it and the false floor is slightly warped, but it will definitely be fine.

Once again I cannot yet post pictures because my wife left my camera at her mother's this past Sunday. (no phone cam). I will post pix when I can, but I'm hoping someone who wants a 2ft deep tank will have bought it before then.

  3. Just looking for a non RR 55 or 75 Gallon tank. Stand is not even necessary. Having switched out tanks several times I know this will just make the moves a lot easier. I am looking for a good buy as I probably will just resell it in a month or so, hopefully for similar money. Extras, other than a hood and or light are not a benefit, just because they may make about breaking even a little harder. a 75 would probably not even need glass tops or the like, since I think this is a little more common.

    Thanks

  4. 2) 1# Containers of BRS GFO Pellets - $15 Each

I still have the Sure Grip 50 Magnet. This has the attachment for a maxijet pump. This can be used for a multitude of things by just gluing this really strong magnet to whatever you want to affix to your glass. $10

Still have the FREE previously mentioned large frag racks and spider reflector with mogul fixture mentioned Here PPU not picked up.

  5. As Mike said, a little more info would be helpful. If you want one for your 75 I can't help. Smaller my HOB Cpr BakPak might work for you.

  6. @ Tailspawn - let me get my s.... together and decide what's going

@ gbelcik - sorry yellow palys already asked for, will hold you as back up though

@keith and salt - I definitely understand on the pics. I do have pics when I bought them, but frankly they make them look much pretty than my pix would and they look somewhere in between in my tanks

  7. Many of the original posted items sold, gone and removed.

A number of small acan frags - Most of these are about 1 sq inch and 3-6 heads depending on the polyp size and the frag size. They are striped (surprise, surprise) and kinda brownish, purpleish and redish - most having green eyes - $15 eachpost-648-005481500 1287260140_thumb.jpgpost-648-012457700 1287260232_thumb.jpg

Giant Cinnamon Palys. I noticed last group buy Vivid is selling these $25/polyp - Vivid Protopaly - Mine aren't that colorful, but probably neither are the ones you get. btw these much closer to an inch than 1/2 inch their narrative describes.

    Frag#1 4 polyps + a baby $25, Frag #2 2 Polyps $15 post-648-072681100 1287260412_thumb.jpgpost-648-032060600 1287260435_thumb.jpg

  8. Here's some stuff I have and may find a little more. Picked up items removed.

    5) I've got 2 1# containers of BRS GFO $15 each

I bought this as 4 gallons, measured with a gram scale, and repackaged in some TetraMin screw on top containers. Okay each one really only has 451 grams. This is pretty much to cost to me after shipping. I will eventually use this if not sold.

    1) Sure grip magnet . I think this is the 50. I only have the attachment which connects to a maxijet: -Sure Grip link - $10

3)Black Rock Reef Frag Rack - $15 - PENDING WITH MANY BACKUPS

Unused. These aren't real big (39 Black Eggcrate squares) but they have soooooper magnets on them. If you let the magnets touch they're just flat out difficult to separate.

    4) HM2 Dual TDS meter - In Line TDS Meter - $10 I bought an entire setup from BRS so I don't need this. I am not certain it works perfect, but I bought it from a well known reputable member about 6 months ago (for$25). Heck the Guest fittings should be worth nearly the asking price. PENDING

    6) CPR HOB Skimmer - $50 This includes a Rio 800 pump which is only about 2 months old and a prefilter surface skimmer Box. I've noticed with most HOB you get scum floating around on the surface. This helps get it into the Skimmer. It's this one but without the Accela pump. CPR Bak pak 2

    FREE:

    A) 2 4" Ring Material Filter Socks - Felt Filter Sock

    B) Spider Reflector with Mogul Base - It's probably this one

    C) PVC and Egg Crate Large Frag Racks - This and D) are large and going to be used in a sump or separate tank for frags. I'll drag them out if you wanna know more but I'm gonna say one is about 15" wide, 6" Deep and 6" tall and

    D) The other is even bigger - maybe 18 inches wide, 9 inches deep and 7-8 inches tall

  9. I'm gonna guess this is not a good match. The cleaner shrimp certainly could be a target of the hawks as well, but I would be concerned about the harlequin. Assuming that hurdle gets made, I believe the harlequin is gonna look to any and all starfish as a source of food. JMHO

  10. Jessie

Just wanted to make sure you got my request. btw - Didn't you say the deadline was Wed midnite? I can order the extra if needed.

    Bill

So far we have 3 orders totaling $118. We need $32 more to receive free S&H and 10% off. Tonight is the deadline, if anyone else is interested please email me your order.

  11. Is this person getting rid of the corals because they can't get the dinos under control in their own tank?

I would be weary of putting someones problems into my tank.

    Just my .02

A major problem has been reined back significantly, but he does seem to think the complete solution would be an extended period of darkness. Naturally this would not be good for the corals. As I understand it the dino is not detrimental to corals. I am just worried about hitchhikers. I think you're further admonitions are in tune with the back of my mind. I guess it will just boil down to quarantine tank or no go. I'm leaning towards trying it with a small QT. Thanks for your input.

    Bill

  12. A friend has offered to give me a good deal on some coral but he has had a significant problem with dinoflagellates. I don't even know what the stuff looks like, but when I look it up it sounds like pretty bad news to fish and sometimes humanoids. Should I pass regardless or can they be dipped. I have some Lugols and have also used that in tandem with hydrogen peroxide. I do not want to set up a QT. Thanks
