  1. I added my phone and address to the original post
  2. Here's some stuff I have and may find a little more. Picked up items removed. 5) I've got 2 1# containers of BRS GFO $15 each I bought this as 4 gallons, measured with a gram scale, and repackaged in some TetraMin screw on top containers. Okay each one really only has 451 grams. This is pretty much to cost to me after shipping. I will eventually use this if not sold. 1) Sure grip magnet . I think this is the 50. I only have the attachment which connects to a maxijet: -Sure Grip link - $10 3)Black Rock Reef Frag Rack - $15 - PENDING WITH MANY BACKUPS Unused. These aren't real big (39 Black Eggcrate squares) but they have soooooper magnets on them. If you let the magnets touch they're just flat out difficult to separate. 4) HM2 Dual TDS meter - In Line TDS Meter - $10 I bought an entire setup from BRS so I don't need this. I am not certain it works perfect, but I bought it from a well known reputable member about 6 months ago (for$25). Heck the Guest fittings should be worth nearly the asking price. PENDING 6) CPR HOB Skimmer - $50 This includes a Rio 800 pump which is only about 2 months old and a prefilter surface skimmer Box. I've noticed with most HOB you get scum floating around on the surface. This helps get it into the Skimmer. It's this one but without the Accela pump. CPR Bak pak 2 FREE: A) 2 4" Ring Material Filter Socks - Felt Filter Sock B) Spider Reflector with Mogul Base - It's probably this one C) PVC and Egg Crate Large Frag Racks - This and D) are large and going to be used in a sump or separate tank for frags. I'll drag them out if you wanna know more but I'm gonna say one is about 15" wide, 6" Deep and 6" tall and D) The other is even bigger - maybe 18 inches wide, 9 inches deep and 7-8 inches tall Thanxx Bill- 784-4475 - 1913 S West Dr Leander 78641
  3. A major problem has been reined back significantly, but he does seem to think the complete solution would be an extended period of darkness. Naturally this would not be good for the corals. As I understand it the dino is not detrimental to corals. I am just worried about hitchhikers. I think you're further admonitions are in tune with the back of my mind. I guess it will just boil down to quarantine tank or no go. I'm leaning towards trying it with a small QT. Thanks for your input. Bill
  4. A friend has offered to give me a good deal on some coral but he has had a significant problem with dinoflagellates. I don't even know what the stuff looks like, but when I look it up it sounds like pretty bad news to fish and sometimes humanoids. Should I pass regardless or can they be dipped. I have some Lugols and have also used that in tandem with hydrogen peroxide. I do not want to set up a QT. Thanks Bill
  5. Maybe this is something else but I thought you were suppose to use styrofoam for something like that. Get a big piece like they use for insulation 3/4-1" thick, cut it the size of your tank, paint edges if desired, and put the tank on the styrofoam. Bill
  6. That really sucks Cindy. I have only had one instance that was even the least bit 'shady' since we have live here, but nothing like that. Just make sure that guy runs off to the east or west and not the south Bill
  7. I'm curious why you are switching, please. Bill
  8. I would like to piggy back your order kind sir. I just want 2 of these Catalytic Activated Carbon please. I imagine they will be $8.00 each + my part of the postage. Thanks Bill ? - If I paypal as a gift and withdraw from cash, are there any additional paypal charges? I thought there was a way to eliminate most if not all of them.
  9. That would have been quite eerie if that was me in the picture. I know them though. This year I believe the smallest pond is closer to 1000 gallons. We do not have any quite as fabulous* as Lost Creek but many are really nice and I believe there is 6 or more ponds that are over 10,000 gallons, including the spring feed pond in Westlake that's 40,000. *Do you remember Lost Creek actually had half a full size tugboat coming out of their fence line, which doubled as their kids 'treehouse'? btw folks - that is someone's back yard, and their two ponds are unpictured in the foreground at an even lower elevation. Bill
  10. Maybe we could ask an op to move us to the group order section, so maybe we can get our 10.
  11. The Austin Pond Society is having their annual pond tour this weekend. Pre-event tix are just $12.50 for the whole weekend and can be bought all around town or online at Austinpondsociety.org. Of course more info is available there also or I will be happy to answer questions here. Bill Brister President, 2010 Austin Pond Society
  12. I am wanting to get some catalytic carbon that was out of stock during the group order. If we could get one or two more and get the postage down to 3 bucks or so that would be great.
  13. I not trying to be rude but you might want to reconsider the hobby. I suspect you have a fair amount of livestock in your tank that is wild caught. Same thing. You just don't know the people who caught it. Bill
  14. Corey Thanks for the offer. It is definitely not my ideal size but may be better than nuttin'. I have no use for any of the other SW stuff. IF you were going to sell the tank separate how much would you want for it. Bill
  15. I am and have been looking for a cheap 55 gallon tank and it can be plain and pretty ugly - but must hold water. Don't need a stand, definitely don't need RR, hood and light optional. Anybody got one that's mostly taking up space? Thanks Bill
  16. I didn't think it through. The time might be about right BUT I will not be returning to my house for 3 or 4 hours after that. Please PM me with your availability tomorrow. Thanxx Bill
  17. When are you going? I have a Pond Society meeting tonite and will be driving right past there, but it will probably be before you get there. Bill
  18. Hey Belinda I shoulda asked you if you were sellin' anything else the other day. I would like one of your Joker frags, please. I could probably come by tomorrow if you are available sometime. Thanks Bill
  19. Wow - that's a long way from everybody else interested so far.
  20. I would be in for $15-$20 worth. I would head it up, but I am about the most north of all respondents so far. Also I think Leander is a day later than an Austin address. Bill
  21. If the 55 'deal' doesn't work out I would like to have it. Bill
  22. Alrighty then, let's go for it. I am sending Mark my email and my name in ARC. Remember we need at least people to be in the order but then we can gang up our orders to save a little postage. Anybody in the LCP area wanna go together with me? Bill
