Well my tanks been up for about a week now. Im not ready for livestok for a while but id like to start getting ideas for some additions since ill now have an extra 45g to play with. Id like to add another tang maybe however i allready have one and dont want any confrontation same with the coral beauty id love a flame or bi color angel but again dont want any problems. I thought of a fuzzy dwarf lion but i think that might make lunch of my goby? Any ideas... must be reef safe too I currently have coral beauty 2 black percs dispar anthias neon goby regal tang... i know my 55 is to small for a tang but hes still a baby and will be in the 90 soon

I had a few in my tank. I was told to use the alk from the bionic suplements and squirt them with a shot of that. Worked fine havent had any problems with them anymore

Just wanted to get a general idea... Ive been reading a lot and going through some old forums to get an idea of what the parameters in my new tank should be. However ive read mixed responses to the question. Most are generally the same but ive seen variations when it comes to salinity, and kh... what should i be aiming for my 90 reef???? right now heres howi ts looking so far Kh -10 ph -8.1 ca2- 420 nh3- 0 no2-0 salinity-1.023

Don't really care if they're brand new but if anyone has replaced they're old ones and are throwing out the olds let me know. They're merely to add some color to my tank so i guess it doesn't really matter about penetration. I beleive that 24 is probably as big as i could use. Let me know thanks

Im free all day tuesday i have class wed thurs and friday but im free wed after 12 thursday after 5 and friday after 12. Get your rest man. Im not in to big of a rush. I pulled about 4g out of my sump so im a little more at ease about it. whenever your feeling better gimie a shout or send me a pm. id love to get your input on the new set up and any ideas for tips and tweaks.

Yeah thanks mike. If you can swing by and check it out that'll be a big help. Again i am still very new to the hobby and learning as i go. so thank you all for any help. With this being my first reef ready tank too im still trying to figure out the mechanics and what makes this thing tick. My tank is a 90 and the sump i believe is a 20g oceanic. Most of this stuff is all new to me so if youd like to come by and give any input mike id very much appreciate it. That would proly work out better than me trying to describe something im not very knowledgeable with. is there any thing other than a generator. What if the pump dies?

I just set my new tank up its been running for a few days now... look out for pics in the next couple of days. I was changing out my power strip and unplugged my return pump. I knew that the sump would overflow but figured id get it plugged back in time. the sump did overflow a tad bit but nothing serious though. I did want to ask though is there anything i can add or do to insure if this pump ever shuts down i wont flood my house. any input is valued thanks

its all good thanks for the help guys. I actually just bored out the hole where the barb used to be and shoved the tube in there where it was snug then siliconed around it to make it air tight. its ugly but it works

this was on my pump to my skimmer. However the barb where the hose from my collection cup plugs up to broke so skimmers not working anymore. I need to find another or something to function as this piece did. Anyone seen a piece like this at lfs or have one??? Help please

I have a 48' t5 set up thats up for grabs. The brand is current. Its a 4 bulb fixture with 4 54 watt bulbs. I am also selling my retros with the fixture as well. four end caps standoffs reflectors bulbs and ballast. All for 150 all works great but looking to hopefully upgrade to mh this weekend.
