    90G mixed reef tank
  2. Here are some I took today with professional help. a funky down tank shot Dave thought would be cool...and it was.
  3. For sure. Especially with the baby on the way. Thanks for the kudos on the nem shot...its my favorite. Alex...I have no idea...the longer one that was in Dave's case. I know it wasn't the macro lens as I can't figure out how to open the lens up enough to see something more than all black.
  4. that's what you get for spear fishing!
  5. can we do a "'nem" Photo contest one month?
  6. i called UPS anyways and I could go pick it up today, but the shipping center here is closed today. That's why its scheduled to be delivered on Monday b/c they aren't working today. Oh well, I guess UPS drivers need a day off sometimes too!
  7. Well dang UPS...the boxes have been in Austin since 12:14a but they aren't on the truck to be delivered. UPS has a policy that they have to attempt to deliver once before they'll hold it at the station so looks like we have to wait till next week. Bummer.
  8. I think you do...a lot of them were out of focus!
  9. I use Tropic Marin Pro Coral Cure recommended by Vivid Aquariums. They also recommend Revive. RCA is the only place in town I know of that has TMPCC. I've never seen revive around town
  10. Aquatek has a 120G (?) FS with tank, stand, canopy, plumbing for $350 I think. I needs to be scrubbed, but it is a good price. If you buy used, check over the seams very closely. I usually tell people to buy the tank new b/c no matter how nice your equipment is, and how clean your water is, if you spring a leak, its all over. Its like my father always told me about tires for your car - don't buy cheap. Why? B/c the rubber is the last thing between you and the road so if the tires fail, its not a good thing. Yes, its more expensive to buy a new tank, but its worth it in IMO.
  11. Whenever my corals do that, I frag off a good piece and set it aside just as a safety measure. Sounds like STN to me, if you can take it out and dip it, do it. I dip mine for 10 mins, they lightly scrub the bleaching area with a soft brush, then use the turkey baster to wash off the area. Works great. Just be gentle with your brushing.
  12. Young grasshopper teaches master lesson...proud day for grasshopper.
  13. Yep. It still hasn't found a home yet. It moves every 3-4 days. I hope it figures it out soon b/c I know where I want to glue my frags, but only if the 'nem stays still.
  14. Not a problem. I already gave Dave some tips this past weekend. Dave: "The foam doesn't go up the neck" Mark: "Have you turned the output adjustment tube towards 'closed'?" Dave: "Oh. Didn't think of that" Mark:
  15. I"m surprised you are taking pics of anything...that's evidence don't you know...
  16. Here is one I took with Dave's cam today!
  17. dapettit left me his camera for a couple of days and I feel like I'm starting to get the hang of it. Getting everything in focus is hard as the depth of field can be so narrow. Here are some shots from my efforts:
  18. the box is in Houston so I think it will be here tomorrow
