I don't have a personal experience yet.grim reefer on rc has a huge following and is known there as the t5 guru.that's his suggested 6 bulb configuration.time and time again.

They are different.the blue plus's have a lot of par for a blue bulb supposedly

The combination recommended to me for my 6 bulb fixture was.... Front ATI blue plus ATI purple plus ATI blue plus ATI blue plus ATI aqua blue ATI blue plus I havent set the tank up yet,but the guy is pretty reputable as the t5 master.lol.

Look directly at the bulb.lol.when I bought my super actinic t5 you couldn't look at the bulb when on.it was super bright.looking in the tank it looked dimmer,but the coral really popped.

nice.i thought mine was the fan motor.took both to hamilton electric and they knew immediately that it was the cap.i did have them check the fan motor while i was there to be safe.was expecting to spend close to $300 and made it out for $18
