Keep your salinity in mind and you are off to a good start. After a while you will probably want to monitor your phosphates, dkh, calcium and magnesium.

anyone know where you can buy the cheap t-5 endcaps in town? The tombstone, not waterproof kind.

My 48" T-5 lighting is having some problems. I need to replace the endcaps. but they are on order, and the tank has been pretty dark for a couple days now. Anyways, does someone have anything I can borrow or they want to sell me? I could really use it, and new lighting is out of my budget right now.

I think that will help, but you may also look into getting a MH bulb with a little more blue spectrum (like 20K). T-5s would be better if you can find them.

Looks good, if you want more water volume, you could use an 18 tall for your sump.

I would take out the sand and rinse it clean. The last time I moved a tank, it stirred up the sand and caused a cycle. The sand will re-seed from your liverock. I think that will eliminate some potential disasters.

I have a 30 gal, it has a small crack in the top corner, but dosnt leak and would be fine for a sump. $20.
