  1. I'm good for a while then. I've budgeted $60. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  2. It's all in good fun! Keep in mind I have not made fun of your height or your wire management. .. well, your height anyway. I better stop - after only having been here four months I don't want to log in to find my account locked!
  3. I'm just lucky to have great mentors nearby that are available to share their knowledge and insight. Thanks @Gig 'em @ NDstructible !
  4. I believe it! Although you can't see it in the pic, I have that bright green edge on top where it is starting to encrust on the epoxy, leading to a beautiful rusty reddish-pink. It's going to be a nice one. I have it mounted in the tank in a position to be front and center because you had said it would be special when I picked it up from you. It's at lower mid level, though, so it's probably at no more than 200 PAR tops. So far it doesn't seem to mind.
  5. Not a great pic, but while I've been away since last Saturday the little flat piece of ASD Rainbow Millie I received from Ty actually started to sprout corallites. Woo hoo!
  6. Mystery wrasse and chromis shoal. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  7. Thanks for that. Scary stuff. Glad you made it through or I wouldn't have this cool Oregon Tort or Efflo now.
  8. Did you post about that experience? I couldn't find it if you did. I'm curious to hear what had happened.
  9. Dipped and in the tank. Very healthy, great color, and nice sizes. This was my first time buying from Cherry Corals. I really have to stop for a while and let things grow out. If I had an actual frag tank the purchases would probably never end.
  10. Well, this brings to mind a noob question, since I've never been to the point of having large colonies: I have this assumption that you can prune and trim the colonies as they grow to keep them in check; kinda like you would a shrub. Is that valid or does it not really work out that way with SPS colonies?
  11. Yay - it's Christmas in April compliments of Cherry Corals. Very well packed - can't wait until lunch so I can get them acclimated and dipped.
  12. I have no idea what it is about this plain ol' YG Yellow I received from Ty, but I really like it. It is always "perky", for lack of a better word.
  13. Wow! Is it weird that I want to snorkel through your frag tank? [emoji39] Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  14. I guess I don't know what clockwise means - I fixed the descriptions. . . doh! There were still a lot of corals on the website - go to Cherry Corals website. Here are links where they are still half off!!! : https://www.cherrycorals.com/product/ora-pearlberry-2-2/ https://www.cherrycorals.com/product/ora-pearlberry-4-2/ Lol - you got it but it's going to take a while in my tank. I don't have the Gig 'em or Ty magic water going on.
  15. I got a little crazy on the Cherry Corals online sale tonight. I'm done for a while. Well, except the three I asked Gig 'em to cut for me. . . Clockwise from upper left: Hawkins Echinata WWC Yellow Tip RR Wolverine ORA Pearlberry RR Red Diablo RR The Vinh
  16. Left and right side islands - just a bunch of little frags everywhere. Grow, darn you, grow!
  17. Thanks Ty. You got it on the All-In. I had it high in the tank and it went pink on me, so I put it back on the bottom to see if the yellows come back out. It's encrusting, though, not plating fyi.
  18. Still playing with my Galaxy S8 and post-processing of the blue hues. Some are much worse than others. I guess these will give me something to compare to 6 mos down the road for growth: Tubbs Stellata WWC All-In monti JF Fox Flame Farmer Ty Bottle Brush YG Yellow Needle in a Haystack & Tyree Undata WWC Grafted Starfire Red Monti Cap War Coral Jedi Mind Trick Red Setosa Rainbow Stylo WWC Juicy Fruit ORA Borealis Sarmentosa Green Slimer UC SSC OG POTO Tweedy Bird BC Grape Juice FHC Red Rage BC "I love my Monster" tort Needle in a Haystack Mint Green Cap Palmer's Blue Millie M. Spongodes Purple Scroll
  19. Crappy pic, but the Oregon Tort from Ty that I "thought" was a goner is making a comeback - yay! It had browned out and looked very bad, even getting algae growing on it on several spots. I glued it to rock anyway figuring I could always remove it later, and the water husbandry gods have smiled upon me.
  20. The little brown tort @Gig 'em @ NDstructible was selling at Ty's during the meeting is turning out to be a nice piece in the tank. Under blue's it is starting to look like a Miyagi Tort to me. Is it coloring up for anyone else? Gig 'em: what does the colony look like? Around 18K: Around 8.5 - 10K:
  21. I also have been playing around with pictures. I have never cared much for photography and I don't have a nice camera, so I've been using my cell phone - a Samsung Galaxy S8. I've been playing around with the Pro settings and also trying to post process out the blues using the Photoshop clone Paint.net. I like what I've been able to do with the post-processing as it does look much more true to life, but still not thrilled with taking pics with the phone.
