  3. I am selling my tunze 6065 for $100. This pump is a beast, its runs great but has some coralline algae on it. i can get pictures if you need but google will give you all the info you need on this powerhead. thanks
  4. what type of corals do you wanna keep? what size tank are you getting? how long do you plan on running this system for?
  5. i have gotten really good at not touching things. once you see how much things start growing without your hands in there you get addicted to it : )
  6. also could have a little to do with the tank still being so new, most sps dont go into tanks until at least the six month mark or after. Plus from what i have learned keeping sps is having a rock solid alk will go a long way.
  7. if it doesnt work out i have the cash in my pocket and nothing to do today : )
  8. i agree 100% with the prof on this one, we love to say things that make us feel better but if you where a fish would you really want to leave the ocean for a aquarium? you can say you tank is big enough all day long but its not and it never will be
  9. i will try to do that today even though i have ordered from them before : /
  10. i need this order to go out with in the next week or two but if it does im in 1) rosslonghorns 2) Gonzobob 3) Mitch 4) Manhorsedog
  11. Frags 1 and 2 are now $25
  12. dang man sorry to hear. I would take my tank down and start with dry rock next time. I know its not what people want to hear but those things suck in the worst way and i feel that starting over would save the most time and money. Once again this is just what i would do after reading a lot of stories on other boards about them. good luck either way!
  13. i really wish one of the LFS's would step up and do a really nice online site and have some great grow out tanks. Austin aqua farm is the only place really like that but they are set up more for bulk. also i was driving home today and noticed a new lfs around the corner of i-35 and 51st it was called amazing aquariums. To be honest it didnt look like it would be anything good just from driving by but you never know.
  14. http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/Auto-Top-Off-Systems/c72/p360/Top-it-Off-Kit-Premium/product_info.html two float switches for $40 plus if you get 3 people it would only be $35 i have this one and it has always worked great and I have never heard anything but good about autotopoff.com
  15. bulkreefsupply also has a nice one
  16. hey mike you know what i have in my tank, i would love those tickets!! 512.415.6731
  17. maybe i can bring it by and help with the setup? or you can come grab it. ill call you after work.
  18. hmmm the purple milli looks a lot better in real life, it is a fully healed piece with no bleaching.
  19. i have 3 frags I am selling at the time. 1. Is a pocillopora I have had for awhile now, it started off about an inch in size with maybe a branch or two. $35 2. Lunar eclipse polyps, this is a five polyp frag with two off to the side (as you can see in pic). $35 3. 1" frag of purple milli. Got this from john g and this frag fell off. It has been on the plug for close to a month now and is starting to encrust. $10
  20. when you do upgrade make sure its 24" wide. That will save you from having to upgrade again anytime soon and or ever.
  21. look like blues to me, do as much research as you can with these guys. Many people are having a hard time with them, few have had better luck.
  22. sure, DO RESEARCH!!!!! now I have found with most fish that you buy at a LFS there is a 50/50 chance of it making it. Most fish are pulled straight from the ocean packed into boxes and shipped half way around the world only to be put in tank with high levels and tons of other fish. without more info it will be hard to help you. It could be as simple as what I just said or the conditions of your water are bad. can you give us some numbers? also maybe what temps the tanks reach during the day. opps almost forgot the last two things anything please ; )
  23. they can be fun, but no fish and lots of water changes LOTS!!!!!!!!
  24. i say go with the nano wave box, you can get flow to your whole tank that way. If you happen to need a little more flow its real easy to add a power head.
