Isaac makes a great point

I think if you brought in fresh air it would definitely help with gas exchange and equipment cooling. But if you bring in outside air it might be wise to run it through a carbon chamber first

Very nice. I will definitely keep them in mind when I want some gorgonians!

That really looks soooo much better today!
-
Looking good!

Sorry, I have no experience with those. Hopefully someone will chime in that has kept one of these ...

I had Gary at aquadome order a planet aquarium. Took 4 weeks and I got exactly what I wanted. Tried working with others for a quote but Gary was best price and attention to details.

Looks like the anemone is feeling a little better?

I think it went pretty smoothly and I'll bet things bounce back from the stress. Love the idea to get the gang back together when the bar is in place. Sorry about that big frag I made with my elbow!

Wish my corals were as poorly colored and unhappy as yours!

That sounds like a great plan

I will be the devils advocate: is there no way to shim that level a little bit Jimbo? Seems like that would have you off at least 1/4" over the length of the tank? I doubt it is dangerous, but it might be distracting to you?

Looking good to me!

Maybe you can ask glassholes if they can make a custom overflow to offset the difference?
-
I think 1 is best and 2 is not bad. I'm not a fan of option 3.

Thanks...not quite on par with yours but it'll do the job.
It's what's inside that counts in the end Jimbo. I'll bet you will have that stocked and looking good fast

That's super nice Jimbo

Ok, not bare bottom after all ;-)

I bought the pump only (no controller or pwr supply, it's basically sold as a second unit to add to a pump/controller pair since the controller can handle two pumps). I paired it up with an icecap controller that integrates with my Apex. That works well for my needs. Sorry, no experience with the advanced controller though.

I'm running a 250 on my 6' tank at about 60% and it blows sand pretty well on the opposite end if not aimed properly.. I would think a pair of 250s on an 8' could handle the load. That being said, if you can afford the larger I would imagine running at a lower percentage would help them last longer

And bare bottom too!

I should be able to help. Seems like you need to line up some good transportation to make it all work. My vehicle is not too useful for your big tasks ...
