  1. Sure enough! Figures. I finally accidentally get something good (for a change) and I go and kill it. Smh. The dip doesn't discriminate. I found it in the bottom of the dip pan. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  2. I received an order from Barrier Reef Aquariums and during the Bayer Advanced dip, this little guy fell out. Not sure exactly what kind of crab this is, but I know I wouldn't want it growing up in the endless shadows of my rockwork. [emoji15] Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  3. Battlebox.. Battlebox.. Battlebox..
  4. Sweet! Lmk Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  5. Wow that's a beautiful beast folks.. I'd take 1/4 if you end up going that route. Let me know.. The bali shortcake is doing great by the way [emoji106] Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  6. Still looking. Shawn has some beautiful blue zoas, (thanks man!), but am looking for hornets with the yellow ring. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

  8. Hi ShawnM. Sweet, thanks! How many blue hornet heads for the $20?
  9. Does anyone have some blue hornets you're able and willing to frag out? I found some online, but figured I'd check the club first. Let me know thanks.
  10. Those clowns are fit - always doing cardio 😃

  13. Thanks Michael. Good meeting you and Scott. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  14. 😅😅$$$$😅😅 Only if they make coffee too
  15. Good catch. Dogfish. Typo, sorry. That would be one hell of a pump [emoji38] Just trying to get ideas on what might be significantly quieter. The Iwakis are good, but still very similar in technology and noise level. The PCX40s aren't super loud, just old school. Thought some of the new fangled designs might be orders of magnitude better.. 16. Oh what I wouldn't do for a fish room Jaebo, got it. Gonna go do some research.. The Gen-Xs are old. Not sure they make em anymore. Theyre similar to the blue/green Iwakis. They're tanks. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  17. That's a Jason Fox FoxFlame acro under LEDs. Its a nice one! Yes, really fantastic
  18. Hi all. I've got two 1190gpm Gen-X PCX40 pumps allocated just for re-circulation on a drilled 150 - absolute beasts running constantly for years. Only I just realized there has to be new technology out there that's much quieter, pushing the same capacity. All my equipment is either in the cabinet, or next to the DT in the dining room - so along with a Reeflo Orca on the skimmer it can be annoying, even though our brains tune it out for the most part lol. Is there a recognized best option out there in terms of quiet pumps that push that much water? I just want to compare, to see if it's worth upgrading.. Thanks.
  19. I know its the great blue world of reefing these days but white lights are needed for reflective colors to shine, like your blues and purples for instance. Too much blue light squashes those colors. Hopefully you'll get used to the lights and like them but fortunately, you can always just adjust the LEDs to alter the amount of blue in your tank for now and maybe in a year when its time to replace the t5 bulb, go with a blue + that time and it'll satisfy a bluer look if that's what you want. lol. Actually, the Coral+ was the way to go, for sure. I might experiment with more white channel soon, but for now the Coral+ can act as the white balance for the most part, backed up by the LEDs.. Let the accelerated growth begin! How's are the voilet and UV diodes coming along?
  20. Thanks Sascha. I just grabbed some fairly stiff 3/4 x 2-3/8 lumber from home depot - oak I think? I twist tied the ballast to the top of one of them, drilled holes to run the wires straight through from the end caps, and left about 25 inches of wire between the two racks so they run over the top of the LED fixtures. I also cut and screwed some "legs"on the boards to allow enough clearance from the water..
  21. Thanks Ty. Nothing but solid advice. I've put the T5s on a 2hr timer for this week. The goni had a few heads poking out this morning before the lights came on (so I do know they're still there at least!), but they're back in now that the T5 cycle kicked in. I'll keep an eye on em. The Coral+ are a bit whiter than I prefer, as expected, but they realllly brought the colors out in everything. With 75%blue/15%white and the 2 Coral+ going, I love the look. 👍👍👍
  22. Figured I'd post a follow-up. Got the LET 60" 2x80w T5 retro from BRS and 2 of the ATI Coral+ and it set up on Sunday. I built two separate racks from 3/4 x 2-3/8 boards, so i can slide them around as needed. They sit on the hood frame, just outside the T247s' bases, without obstructing the light. Dialed the OR's white back to 15%, and increased the blue to 75%. Running the T5s at 4hrs day to start. My goni freaked out and puckered up tighter than a snare drum - not sure if it was the light or something else. Everyone else seems happy so far. Thanks again for the advice! And excuse the salt creep lol... Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  23. Doing my best with the shortcake, we'll see. 🙄 I figured you'd have a generator in the attic that automatically kicks on when the power's interrupted.😆 No really, sorry to hear you got hit. Hope you didn't lose anything... We'd be happy with anything you're willing to share man, no worries. I'll keep an eye out for it though..
