You named him? Instant death sentence.

We have a no naming and even a no suggesting to name a fish policy. Haven't lost a fish since we started it.

    Green Chromis

I am thankful for this little chromis. My daughter named him Greenbean. I cycled the tank with him not knowing what I was putting him through. He has been a punk in the past, but now he is really nice to all new additions and has even made friends with the clown pair. I am glad he is still around. He's a trooper.
  7. Give me some feedback please. I have been trying to figure out white balance for a while now. Then the other night, it kind of just dawned on me and I felt like a derp when I finally got an understanding on the white balance grid (or so I think). So I decided to post a few of the good shots from a little set after tweaking the WB. Now I just need to get some other colors in the tank. Everything seems to be green. I have some pinks and blues, but they are small ATM and in a hard place to get a good angle on. Anyway, let me know what yall think of the progress in photog skills. Finally glad all pics aren't washed out and blue! <iframe class="imgur-album" width="100%" height="550" frameborder="0" src="http://imgur.com/a/TKetj/embed"></iframe>
  8. This sounds like fun! Too bad I cant have anymore tanks setup. Unless I change/sell my fluval. What qualifies it as a "pico"? What size and anything else? I would consider using the fluval if it is appropriate size. Unless all tanks have to be the same...
  9. Ok cool. Didnt want them to have some kind of infection. Thanks bio!
  10. Ive noticed it after adding a flake food into the mix of mysis and brine. Dont know if that has anything to do with it. Also have noticed little black spot on my two clowns after adding my gbta. Any insight on that? Sorry to change the subject
  11. Ok. I didnt know it starts out green
  12. I just noticed tonight that I have a bright green algae growing in some spots. I read elsewhere that coraline starts out green before the pink and purple comes in. Is this true? Its not soft or hairy. And doesnt seem to come off when i scrub it. If this is evidence of coraline, I am happy.

That nudi is dead! A self help group might be a good thing, but not yet! And yes Ty, it is expensive. But well worth it.

  14. Hey Ty, I have only been in the hobby for a few months, but I will gladly trade wallet frags for coral frags! I think I might be in the early stages of the same problem. But I will try and help you out lol. What do you have that you are trying to frag out?
  15. Tank is new. Been running for about 3 weeks. Only stock in is 2 green chromis. So, I guess small bio load could be the reason for not pulling anything out?
  16. OK I guess I'll wait and see what happens. the manual says to have the funnel part about 1/8" below surface.
  17. I just received my CPR hang on back refugium/protein skimmer and installed it last night. I keep messing with it to try and get just a foamy skimmate from it, but all i can seem to get out of it is a lot of water. Any way or idea on how to help this issue? I've raised the collection cup. But when I do that, the foam never seems to reach the top. When lowered, it just lets water spill over the top. There doesn't seem to be a happy medium. Thanks in advance for any help or ideas!
