  1. Also to help out the other techie guy...The way I would setup to make the web interface face the net is to do a redirect from my own web server on a hosted solution. For example you can use host monster or some other 4 buck a month host solution to host a pound or apache proxy. On your server at home you configure it so only host monster's ip can connect to your externally facing port. On the host monster end you host the web session through https. Then again its all an overkill. Just isolate your apex on the network and lock down the admin password and you should be fine. lol

  2. Hmm, this actually is not the worst idea I have heard. You could make a device that sits on the outside of the glass and moves a mag float like(with a weaker magnet) back and forth across the glass using gearing and a track with a simple motor. Plus side is all the junk would be outside the tank instead of inside. I just tested this on my 30 gal cube and I only had to move the mag float 6in back and forth 6" to get a very nice wave.

  3. I am trying to reintroduce Xenia in my tank after a die out a few months ago. If you live in Austin and are willing to share a frag next time you prune let me know. I can throw 5-10 bucks at it. Whatever you want.

    Thanks,

  4. Copper in its metallic form in your tank for a few hours is not going to cause copper poisoning. It needs to oxidize, to "solubilize", only then will it be in its toxic form. Also any heavy metals that have been in your tank that long should have been absorbed by your aragonite, a form of calcium carbonate (CACO3) that readily swaps out its calcium atoms in favor of heavy metals, locking them into a solid form. But if the exposed heater was in there for a day or so. Then yeah, you are screwed. Did you change your rocks yet?
