  5. A new member here just bought a 150g and we'll be moving it tomorrow. We need buckets. Please call me at 461-3120 with what you have available and when they can be picked up. And if you should by chance be available tomorrow morning at 7 am and have nothing better to do your more then welcome to lend a hand. We'll be moving the tank from Westlake to Yeagar Lane. You'll be home before the Mrs. wakes up. lol We all remember what it's like to be the new guy and not want to ask people you hardly know for help but I've seen the generosity of this group so I'm asking for them. Thanks in advance all, Steve

    Tank looks great.
  9. People are always willing to sell.
  10. Oct.-Nov. mass Texas swap. I like it. I am still interested in smaller local swaps. I guess since I haven't been in the hobby that long I have more room for expansion and more options "fragwise". I'm sure looking at some of the more established reefers gorgeous tanks (Brian and numerous others) finding a local frag they haven't already seen or have becomes few and far between. For those of us who have numerous options still as to what we want in our tanks I'd be happy to host a local meeting. I'm in Milwood in NW Austin off Parmer between McNeil and 620. Even you heavy hitters are welcome (Brian, Joseph, Gabriel, etc., etc.). You never know who might accidently have that frag you were looking for and I promise at the least you'll enjoy my wifes cheescake. If you guys are interested in a local swap reply back and we'll pick a date.
  11. I finally took the plunge and drilled my first tank. It's a 100g (3/8" glass) I drilled for a closed loop. Went much easier and smoother than I thought it would. No cracks. Yesssssss. Now I want my own set of hole saws (since I borrowed the ones I used yesterday).
  12. To anyone who wants a pond... Just broke ours down and have a pump and large water display we bought at Hill Country Pond on 183. Has a bulkhead already installed. Anyone interested e-mail me and we can talk trade. We went from a pond to a disapearing fountain to fill in hole in ground.
  13. How about a plumbing meeting? Drilling glass and acrylic Different type pipes/connections and why, when and how to use each Planning and building Sumps & Fuges Closed loop systems Auto top offs etc.
  14. Interested in: Sump Heater 5g jugs I'm 10 minutes from the Arboretum. e-mail me back or call 461-3120 Thanks, Steve
  15. On this camera to control exposure you have to cup your hands over the outside of the lens but then you need someone else to snap the pic. LOL
  16. Beautiful setup. Best of luck. Who's laying in the tank?
  17. Gabriel, Ditto, James! (headless donkey) Thanks for the hospitality. (to the Mrs. also off course) Tank looks great and appreciate the photo tips. One quick question? I can't find the apature adjustment on my kodak camera? and I think the lens extension piece will be a hard fit into this tiny square hole. LOL
  18. Mark, Interested in the zoos. Give me a call at 461-3120. I'm available today. Thanks, Steve
  19. Was just over there and bought a few things (even though I promised myself not to buy anymore livestock until I bought my lights). So much for self control. lol Corals look SWEET and so are the prices.
  20. Interested in: $25 - Custom built auto top off float switch and pump supply pump control box Do you have a pic? Thanks
  21. I'll take one of each. e-mail with price and availab... Oooooooo, they're not for sale? They're gorgeous. What kind of camera did you take these pics with? They're incredible. Looking forward to seeing you'se guys (that's yankee for ya'll) at the meeting.
  22. That tank looks great. My grandparents lived in Fla. Oxygen tanks were like sunglasses there. Couldn't pull a retiree over in Fla. and ask for a blast? (It's a law now in NY. When you reach 70 the retirement police come for you. They force you to wear yellow pants so high your chest hair gets caught in your fly and white shoes. They throw you in a golf cart and drag you down to sunny Fla.) Just a little AM humor.
  23. Looks good. Would look better with a new canopy.
