  1. Be sure to check for nitrate and ammonia! Hopefully your tank is big enough to withstand the oops....Good Luck!
  2. I have two to chose from. LMK. I am in Kyle TX and I get off work Sat. and Sun. at about 7:45 if you want to meet after that.
  3. I am posting this for my Father in Law. He is the second owner (I believe) of a very well maintained 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LS. The truck is white in color, has the crew cab option with the third door, diamond plated truck box, and rubberized bed liner. All maintenance has been performed by Chevrolet and my father in law is a light footed driver. The truck runs crisp and smooth and is the Vortec 5.3 (105k+/- miles) and oddly enough doesn't get too bad of gas mileage (I attribute this to the truck being in prime condition. The truck is equipped with the heavy duty towing transmission as long with the rest of the towing package equipment. Chrome exhaust tip, CD player, power everything, cruise control, power seats and rear split folding bench. Cloth interior. (nicely kept, never smoked in) Bads (Accounted for in asking price): Cracked windshield. New windshields for this truck can be as cheap as $50.00 up to about $150.00 Typical "I watched the crack run across the windshield" winter crack. A/C needs recharged. Compressor is in good condition but the o-rings have let go. New o-rings at AutoZone $8.00 + $30.00 re-charge kit = $38.00 fix. Minor but typical "truck" dents. Invisible unless you are right on the dents or are looking for them. KBB Private party value is as follows taking into account the a/c doesn't work right now. Condition Value Excellent $8,615 Good $7,925 Fair $7,030 We are asking $6,900.00 O.B.O. CASH. Please call if SINCERELY INTERESTED and I can answer questions you might have or to set up a test drive. (Must be able to provide CURRENT Insurance information and valid Texas Drivers Liscence) Kris 817-891-7796 LEAVE A MESSAGE OR I WILL NOT CALL YOU BACK. Be considerate when calling and if I can't answer a call when you call I will call you back when I get a chance....If you leave a message.
  4. Welcome Marc. Hows it going up there. Kris
  5. Alrighty folks, I am in need of an old fashioned 30 long. I currently have a 29 gallon that I am using for my sump but it is too tall for the inside of my stand. I am going to be re-doing my whole set up here over the next couple of months and this is the first step. It does not have to be "pretty" but it MUST be water tight. Black trim would be best.
  6. Get an AquaClear h.o.b. filter and get one of the ice probes. The AquaClear brand is a bit thicker front to back than the others and might give you the room you would need for the IceProbe. I dont even monitor my temparature but I keep my house at 77* at all times and everything in my tank seems quite happy....that reminds me to get a thermometer;)
  7. Pending deal with GKarshens. Will update if the need arises. Kris
  8. Wow, thanks for the responses. I think this would be a GREAT topic for discussion at a meeting. Willow, so you just leave it out in the SUN? wow. Please tell us YOUR version of home brewing phyto. TIA Folks, threads like these encourage new members. Club cooperation is a great thing. Kudos!
  9. Hello folks,Tonight I was bored and snapped some shots. I am starting to venture into some of the manual settings on my Nikon D40 and so Im asking for your thoughts on how some of these turned out. Please be kind.
  10. Does anyone in this club make their own phyto? If so, how did you start your culture? Did you find it to be more trouble than it's worth? TIA, Kris
  11. PM replied to. IGKarshens, I dont do SPS in this tank. I appreciate the offer but I have to decline at this time.
  12. I still have this. Anyone? Will consider trades for corals and fish and even other equipment as well.
  13. Does anyone have any red or purple mushrooms that they could spare? I have some things to swap if you do. LMK Kris
  14. I think they offered me 100.00 or the book and since I had studied the particular fish for so long, I wanted a signed copy to show my children and grandchildren one day that I was a true fish dork...LOL. Congrats and which publication if you can say? This is the book I am talking about http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...%3DRnB%26sa%3DN
  15. Ah, I thought you were abbreviating "Copper Band" butterfly. Sorry for the confusion.
  16. Some photos of mine were published in "The Encyclopedia of Exotic Tropical Fishes for Freshwater" by Axelrod and Scott a couple years ago. I received a signed copy of the book thanking me for my contributions to the book but that was all.
  17. pics as promised. I must say that the pics are bad but these darn 6 lines aint slow...lol Is this a 6 line you are talking about? If so, no they are not normally "schooling" fish but they aren't normally anemone fish either so what do I know. Six lines are notoriously pugnacious when it comes to other fish, sometimes MUCH larger than themselves but I believe that each species has its exceptions. Curious, are you successful at keeping the CBB without it nipping at polyps or zoas? Again, a hit or miss type scenario.
  18. So, I glanced over at my tank while getting ready to head out today and I noticed that my small six line wrasse is playing in my large RBTA with my percula clown fish. I have been doing this for over 7 years and have never even heard of such a thing. I will try to snap a shot later on if I have time. Anybody ever heard of such a thing?? he seems to do this a lot now and I am quite sure that he sees the anemone as his home. Anyway, just wanted to share this weird sight.
  19. folks, thanks for your help! That is what a good reef club does for each other! That said, I am well aware of the downfalls of these beautiful critters as I have worked in the industry for a long time. I have separated about 100 or so asterinas into my refugium for safe reproduction in hopes to find a harlequin. There are still many, many, many left in the display but those will dwindle quickly. I personally dont mind feeding them starfish since that is their natural diet and I am keeping these inhabitants in a completely UN-natural environment. I will also be collecting chocolate chip starfish when I see them available at reasonable prices to throw in the fuge as well. Thanks again. I am leaving the house now to head North to find my shrimpie(s) now. Kris
  20. I have an asterina star infestation and although they are harmless, I dont like them so I want to feed a harlequin. Anybody know where to find one? TIA, Kris
  21. Hello folks, I have a real nice Blue Tang up for trade. I am trying to find something equally as colorful and active to trade for according to the rules from the boss (WIFE). The reason I am getting rid of him is because he is simply getting too big for my crowded 75 gallon. The only way I will trade is if the fish is EATING and is healthy since mine eats EVERYTHING and is extremely healthy. Might be interested in a Lamarks angel fish, established wrasse pair, or other cool fish. Thanks, Kris
  22. I just noticed this post. Do you have a picture of the zoas you are speaking of?
