  1. I have a small (4" open) rose bubble tip anemone for trade. These have been captive propogated for 15 years or more and are very suited for home aquaria and split often. Beautiful pinkish red with flowing tenticles rather than the drawn up bubble tips. I'm open to coral trade suggestions but I am only looking for LPS and NICE softies. What I DONT need are frogspawn, torch coral, or small frags. Let me know what you have.
  2. I am honestly at this time debating whether or not I can keep a fish with this type of aggression. I try to run a peaceful reef since the reason I am into this hobby is to be able to rid the day of itself at the end of every night by watching my tank. I bought a nice peaceful fish, acclimated it well, set it free to roam about it's new home and BAM!!! His life was taken and I know they are animals and will behave as such, I personally dont think I have room in the tank for him anymore.....shame too cause he's pretty nice looking.
  3. So I got my helfrichi firefish and a banded coral shrimp today and within 10 seconds my Clarkii clown had the helfrichi by the tail and put it into his anemone never to be seen again. ****! I just put the Clarkii in about a month ago and I had NO idea he cared anything about the nem since I have NEVER seen him go to it. (usually hangs out by my frogspawn or a patch of Zoas) Live and learn I guess. This was my first attempt with a hff and it was a costly gamble I suppose.
  4. I think its my camera settings. I suck at photography. Any advice? I use a Nikon D40 so I am limited and the lens is blah....I use SeaChems Gray Coast sand. I like it alot but admittedly I do need about 2 more bags. If anyone uses this sand do yourself a favor.....RINSE,RINSE,RINSE,RINSE.....and then rinse some more.
  5. PS- there are two Sherman Rose Bubble anemones in there too but they weren't out due to the recent tank rearrange.
  6. Some from tonight. Enjoy or don't. Feel free to comment. What do you like, what dont you like? Is this tank visually appealing to you? Be honest as I am getting bored with the hobby and need to know if I should get out before it drives me crazy. I recently sold some fish and will be getting a pair of nice flasher wrasse soon. Lighting is 440w VHO utilizing 2 actinic, 1 actinic white and 1 6500k (for rapid growth). If you click this thread, please leave comments.
  7. 60.00. These guys will definately be coming out on Sunday now. If you want them let me know before Saturday or I will simply take them in for my credit which is what Im asking for them.
  8. These fish are gone on Sunday one way or another. Get a hold of me before then if interested.
  9. I'll trade you a juvenile female blue throat trigger for it. It is reef safe and shrimp friendly.
  10. PM sent. Please reply. Thank you.

  12. ... I take them in to a LFS. These are perfectly healthy specimens that are disease and parasite free. They eat everything and are extremely reef safe, even with shrimp, clams and LPS. they are both about 4" long and are friendly, active and interactive with us. I simply want to go different directions with my tank and I need to do it now. I do not want to wait any longer so if I dont get a response from here or from Craigslist within a few days, they go to a local shop in San Marcos. All I want in return are some reef safe fish that aren't plain jane. They must be healthy and currently eating. Might also trade for corals depending on what is offered.
  13. Does anybody have a lightly used 48" plain old strip light I can buy for a decent price? Mine shorted out on my freshwater tank and I need another ASAP. Cash in hand. If you have one, give me a call 817-891-7796 Kris
  14. Id also like one. I am off all day tomorrow.
  15. I want this fish. I have to sell one of the few that I have to get it though. If it is gone by then I understand.
  16. If I can find a person who wants the Blue tang it's a go. I have someone coming over right now to call dibs on the blue throat. You are welcome to make offers but I wont even respond to offers I feel are unreasonable.
  17. I sure do need homes for the rest of these guys. Id rather not tear the tank down for one fish. It would be nice to get them out all at once....know what I mean? Anybody else????
  18. Works for me. I will update this post now and I will let you know when based on the response I get. hopefully some other folks here will know someone who wants good healthy fish. I know not everyone reads these boards so if you know a reefer, please let them know about these fish. Thanks everyone. Kris
  19. I would trade for an elephant ear mushroom, sure. He has been great with all of my shrimp and crabs so I can only assume that it would be similar in your tank. He has been brought up with inverts and shows no angst towards them. I do feed him about twice a week. He eats either silversides or krill of the frozen variety and he eats about 5 krill per feeding.
  20. Nobody wants well established, eating, disease and parasite free, beautiful fish at a good price??
  21. Hello folks, In the next couple of weeks I am going to take a day off of work for the sole purpose of extracting a few of my fish. I have been thinking of going a different direction since I have become bored with my current crew and set-up. Who will be finding new homes you ask? Well, I'm glad you asked. (he-he) My 4" Regal blue tang who has been dubbed "Dori-Dori" by my son. She/he is absolutely beautiful. I have had her for over a year and she is a very personable fish. She has been a model citizen with all of my corals as well as new additions to the tank. I would hope that she go to a new home that is bigger than what she is in now. I am asking a $75.00 re-homing fee. My 4" FEMALE blue throat trigger. Yep, ol' Blue Eyes needs to find a bigger home as well. I received this fish from another member of this board and ever since, she has been a joy. She has a cave in front and hangs out there keeping watch over the tank. She is absolutely beautiful with stunning blue eyes and perfect fins. She is an easy going girl who would be happier in a bigger tank but is doing well in a 75 gallon reef. Did I just say reef??? Yep, she is completely REEF SAFE and is around clams, a few different kinds of shrimp, snails, hermit crabs, LPS corals and Soft corals. I am asking a re-homing fee of $50.00 My little reef chromis. He's been a round for over a year. His buddies weren't so fortunate (you know how chromis are). I dont have much to say about him, he's a chromis and is a pig. I will ask a re-homing fee of a frag or 2.00. He will not be given for the purposes of feeding. Pending deal with board member Dee My Snowflake eel. Eely has grown from a 6" juvenile to an adolescent of about 1' 2-3". He is a quite the character and does well with shrimp in the aquarium. He likes to poke his head out here and there and is very careful when moving around the tank. He has never knocked over a coral nor has he ever shown interest in jumping. I am asking a re-homing fee of 25.00. Pending deal with board member Dee I will post here when I will be off to extract these fish but post here if you are interested in any of these. They need GOOD homes please. If you have an INTERESTING trade I will consider them but please PM me the offer as I wish not to litter this thread. Oh and I will not travel all over Austin to make this deal. It would be much better if you would come to my place and I can bag the fish up for you and send you on your way so as to prevent stress on any of the fish.

I am setting up my CPR HOB fuge again and I need some macro. I know some of you trim yours back occasionally and was wondering if it was that time for anybody in South Austin or San Marcos. Let me know if anyone can get me started again.
