  1. Agreed. Years ago, when my tank was only a year old, I did go that route. However I never saw them again and the aiptasia didn't move. I think they crawled under a rock and died. I know they are awesome, and maybe my tank had something they didn't like, but I'm a bit gunshy of spending that kind of money ( + shipping) for those guys. If the pepperment shrimp doesn't happen, I'll be thinking about those guys again.

    Thanks,

    Bryan

  2. great.

My order is attached. $85.83. I believe you said you are doing the order Sunday. Let me know if that's correct and I'll Paypal you over the weekend. For now, I gotta get back to work! :)

BRS still has their 5X Rewards sign still up. It was supposed to expire yesterday but I bet if you place it early today, before they drop the sign, they will give you the 5X for all this.

    Thanks,

    Bryan

  3. Thanks - just cleaned up my inbox.

I know you are in North Austin, more specifically where are you so I can figure out if I can get to you (have two little kids and work down south so it's not always easy).

    Thanks,

    Bryan

  4. I'm sure I'lll be still ready for the shrimp as the Aiptasia X isn't doing the trick. My aquarium is rather bare right now but I may be able to get a mushroom or to to you. They are nothing fancy until I decide on my lighting setup. Otherwise, I'm glad to fork up a couple of bucks per shimp; probably only want a couple at most.

  5. I'm interested. I have about $85 worth and four items. I realize we don't know each other so let me know your comfort level with me possibly jumping on board with your order. I do have paypal.

    Thanks,

    -Bryan

  6. I forgot about some people going on those trips. I am not going to Corpus any time soon nor will my having a 3 and 5 year old allow me to go out on the rocks and catch these things. All that being said, I hope someone finds this message. I don't mind buying the shrimpees at the store but sometimes they don't care for the aiptasia. I like the idea of getting one with a history of eating them.

    Thanks,

    Bryan

  7. A while back I read someone was looking for a home for their shrimp after it erradicated their glass anemone problem. What a great idea I thought.

Well fast forward many months and I've now got an aiptasia problem of my own now. The Aiptasia-X just isn't working like it did the first time I had this stuff a few years ago. I loved my copperband butterfly but I worry that I was lucky that I could get him to eat and was said when he came up with something wierd that took him out after two years of owning him.

So, I'm curious if anyone in the West or NW Austin area (including Cedar Park and Leander) has a peppermint shrimp, that is known to eat aiptasia, that they are wanting to take out of their tank. I'm actually willing to pay a few bucks for one but I thought I'd check this route first as I know others were just not wanting it as an inhabitant any longer after it had done its job.

    Thanks,

    Bryan

  8. It looks like the last BRS group topic closed down. However I do need about $85 of stuff. Is there anyone out in the NW Austin to Leander area (I'm in Cedar Park) that is interested in a group buy? If not, maybe just combining an order to beat the $175 for free shipping.

    Lemme know!

    Thanks,

    Bryan

  9. Everyone sells 'em after the trip to recoup costs. Nothing wrong with that. I'd like a couple and I'll gladly donate $3 per if you still have some. I live in Cedar Park and would have to come after normal work hours... Actually, I may be able to cut out a little early if needed to meet you there.

    Thanks,

    Bryan

  10. Well months later I can say that it hasn't happened again. I have only added a sailfin tang and a spiny urchin. I have not done anything to may tank like a cleaning overhaul or add chemicals. All other animals still seem fine. It is still a mystery yet I would totally buy a blenny and copperband again. They were great.

I know it's not an answer to what you should do. I think there is nothing at this point. I've read about adding chemicals(medicine) and possibilities but nothing really seem to be a real cure.. just others' ideas.

  11. I second the garlic but you can't rush it's affects or the affects of anything you've done. Be careful, you say one fish was cured instantly. Ich goes goes through stages only only the final stage is when you can see it. It's very possible the ich is still inside the fish going through another cycle. Just do a little garlic, very little because it's concentrated, for many weeks after you don't see the dots any longer. RG, many of us have gone through this... best of luck.

  12. Hey Renman, as I'm building up my tank I do not have a trade but if you are coming near Cedar Park or River City Aquatics anytime soon, I'd be happy to take star or two off your hands. I wish I had something to trade but my own tank is pretty bare right now.

Crazy, did it really give off that many babies. Seems cool at first until they grow. That would become a nervous situation for me quickly. ha
