  1. Wow I forgot about those. I used to have 4 or 5 of those years ago. Nothing ever came of them then one day I realized I didn't notice them ever again. I asked around a lot and don't think I ever got an ID on them. They stay on glass and swim. I took 'em out if I could but didn't get them all. I know I'm not helping with ID but I can say that they didn't bother corals or fish. I still didn't touch it directly!

    Does is move like this?

  2. Hey I'm interested in the frogspawn; but can't see it well behind the coralline algae. How big is it?

If I can take it, I have a normal 8-5 but can often get out of work early. May even stay home tomorrow if the rain is coming down. What is your schedule? (I'm in cedar park).

  3. If you have pandora box ... It will alert you when an app you want goes on sale. So you don't have to check it all the time, just put what you want to buy in favorites and it will alert you when it's on sale and you can choose to buy then or not.

    Thanks Nicole. Got it.

  4. that's a tough one. (Sad but beatiful birdsnet pic by the way).

Is it at all possible that you had any soap or chemicals on your hands while working in there? I'm sure you thought of all that. Odd that the new coral(s) aren't affected but different species are stronger/weaker. For those corals to change so fast I think you were correct to change the water because something nasty got in there, chemical-wise. Lighting wouldn't do it that fast and I bet you didn't do anything different there anyway. Everyone uses gel super glue and I'm sure it's not your first time there either. Do you have a sump that anything could have dropped or spilled into?

Did you do all the water tests? I'm curious what everything tests out too including temperature and Alk or pH and phosphates.

  5. Don't know if this will help, but check out: http://www.advanceda...02/11/chemistry particularly look at the section for Zone 3. Also, within that article, they refer to this: http://www.advanceda...002/6/chemistry

Since you are just breaking in the tank I assume the Apex is newly set up too. If so, do you have another way to test pH in case the Apex is simply needing the probe reset?

I also agree that 7.89 is not something to worry about; but maybe measure again 2 - 3 hours after lights out or look at the Apex graph the next morning.
