  7. thanks for the fire shrimp tonight guys! i acclimated him over three hours on a drip! in the tank now and doing nicely! I even had store credit from a guy that i traded a coral too! i lost the receipt that was made out to anonymous. basically i was out of my coral and the 30 dollar trade value receipt. i called up there and they have taken the avenues to contact the person i got the receipt from. and are gonna verify and validate the store credit for me WITHOUT my receipt! they didn't have to but it just goes to show you that RCA goes above and beyond for their customers. Thanks again

  11. So the tropic marin from RCA was 1.025 on thier instrament! alot nicer than my instant ocean hydrometer! mine registered 1.027 which is what i heard was they always ran a lil higher! but im glad you guys told me to check temp! It was 89.8 after 30 min of being home in my 70 degree house! and the water was inside my truck on the way home! that would have mostly likey ruined the 5 sps in my tank! (4 are seriatopora and one acro) Im so glad im OCD! j/j

  16. im sure it could work make sure by testing the plastic. making sure doesn't melt from the heat of the light

  21. "and another question i had a small black looking urchin slug. that had pointy spines running in one direction on it kinda like a porcupine! i have seen every once and a while to always near my zoas?" Finally got a pic It never hurts anything just after MH go off he comes out for a bit
  22. after looking at the old pic i cant even belive it is %100 percent gone
  23. after several days off research last month! i heard geliduim is almost unstoppable! and got hooked on a thread from last year on a different forum about fire blasting the gelidium. i thought no way ill do that! after no other good ways of eradication and a ton of research and my nerves settled i put a bic wind resistant lighter to the gelidium to barley singe it for a sec or two! and after a month of my hermits and emerald crab eating the dead twigs! i have 0 signs on gelidium and had no parameter swings in water AT ALL! this guy has been doing this for years on diffrent live rocks for years for all types of things (valonia, gelidium, aptisia) during research and SWEARS BY IT! so i tried it, cause i sure as heck wasn't letting it over run my tank! my rock is 100% purple and have had no areas of my rock that has even changed color! IM SOLD! I have pics to prove it if you guys wanna see
