  1. forget the goods, i notice that you have austincc.edu e-mail. can you please tell me how to enroll at acc for the next availabe simester? and are there online classes for anything?

I know you can enroll ACC, I might suggest you that you can meet advisory at ACC, walk in and they will be glady to help you, Plenty of time to register for nest semester if you come in acc to talk with advisory. That is not taking lots to do and maybe can complete in a day.

Online classes? I think you means distance learning? that is define of courses that you can read and study at your own time then take test at any testing center on different campus what is can meet your transportation, I can see that you are from Manor.

You can check at website http://dl.austincc.edu/

  5. Howdy,

Do you know anywhere I can buy several red-eared slider turtles? local or somewhere? look for species not looking for softshell, painted turtle. I want red-eared slider.

I recently make Pond in front yard 4 feet by 6 feet, for my wife. Unfortuately that somone has stolen one large red-eared slider, We decided want to buy several to comapnsion with cody in the pond.

    Thanks

  6. Hi,

I was undecided which is sand substrate for 40 gallon, Ocean direct origional grade or Oolite sand from ocean direct too, or other Argamax select sand? or what is your prefer?

About 2 or 3 inch sand in the DT and deep sand for refuge.

I am plan to have SPS and reef friendly also several diversity of clams.

What is kinds of sand in the refuge? and sand in DT do you currently use?

I was to have Indo pacific but too much battle with flatworm and I try to vaccum but lots of a size of object stuck in the hose... I have to break by piler to smash and smooth flow into bucket. want to remove the sand first. I want to focus on 40 first then tear down the 75 gallon and redo later in few weeks.

  7. Hi,

I got two different diamond hole bits, 1.5 and .750.

What kinds of drill? I have Sears craftsman 3/8 proffessional drill corded. That is a right kinds of drill that can drill a hole?

Do I need to drill vertical or a little slight angle to drill first then move to vertical drill?

also add water to keep cool to prevent crack the glass.

3 inch from the edge of glass to center of where the hole will be? that is safe to drill?

maybe I should drawing the plan and post this to check if its good to go

  8. 5 or 6 inches healthy checkerboard wrasse for sale.

Checkerboard is very activity and swimming like Nascar. I recommend goes to FOWL tank or tankmate is those big fish. I noticed Checkerboard like to chase small fish.

    ask for 20.00

want to give checkerboard to a better house than send to LFS.

I keep some small fishes transfer to 40 gallon for a while until everything is improvement around thing.

You can PM me, but take time to reply back.

  9. If your 60 lbs are cured I would use some of that to keep the 40 stable with the fish in there. Just keep a close on parameters while they are in there and always have salt water ready to go if you need to do a water change. I think they would be fine.

Ok, don't have to add sand, just 60 lbs and barebottom for few months?

  10. Howdy Reefers,

We are going to purchase the house, We are processing to closing date on the house, it probably three weeks away from today.. Hopefully.. cross fingers that there is smooth sailing to close the date without any problem.. The location we will live in Kyle/Uhland area, by the HWY 21. so my wfie can attend to TSU for Dual.

I need your feedback and suggest about how to move the Tank to new location..

Right now I have 75 gallon tank. with 6 livestocks, sixline, checkerboard, cardinal, lawnmower and paired Ocellaris. One mature green SPS and several blue mushrooms.

I have one empty 40 breeder, will be great for temporary housing for 6 fishes? about two months that will be alright for them? will be emperer 280 filter will be alright or suggest to have sump for 40 gallon breeder to housing the livestock?

Should I transfer the current salt water to 40 gallon with or without sand? should have some live rock in the tank?

what is your opinion and suggest and which is best plan to move the tank.

Here is what I am planning for this.

    1. I need to redo with tank, I had approix 60 lbs in the trashcan, I don't know if its cure yet. will test again few weeks. Want to drill several holes for 75 gallon for coast to coast overflow. Also paint the black background of back the tank.

    2. I am going to cook the 90 lbs live rock because I am battling with bubble algaes infest whole the tank.

    3. I would like to have new white live sand for 75 gallon tank, about 120 lbs of sands. 75 gallon will be fully blown reef tank, SPS only with small colorful fishes.

Future --- 110 gallon tank will set-up in middle of summer

(I acquired 103 lbs dry rocks. Plan to curing the rocks) Plus 90 lbs rock will be addition when the cook the rock then curing in same time with 103 lbs rocks)

    Thanks

    Ron

  11. 37 gallon? 30x12x23? I had 37 tall before, Metal Halide is not working well for 37 because tank has center brace, will causing brace to melt becuase there is small space for lighting, Brace already melted when I tried to use one with 150 watts, too much trouble. so I uses 4 T5 bulbs and looks so nice. I would recommend T5, 4X39 watts will be great selection for your tank

  12. Hi Reefers,

I am surprised I still up tonight, been at acc since 8 am to 930 pm then eat dinner and have to wait for settle down with my stomach :dribble:

Grab to check with you a fellow reefer.

Right now we are still looking house, but haven't find one that what we like, I need to set up a plan for my tank to move to new house in few month I hope so.

I still think about drill several holes for my perfecto 75 gallon tank. I did contacted with Marineland and says that sides are drillable. That is great news. I am thinking about have overflow, (want to eliminate the HOB overflow box) I research about the overflow, Calfo horizontal overflow ? or vertical overflow? which is prefer?

I think about peninsula tank. Probably Peninsula is first choice plan. which is better overflow for pennsula? Also drill hole for closed loop with sequese dart 3600 gph or 2600 gph. 3600 is too much for 75?

My plan is for 75 gallon is SPS tank and other 110 gallon tank ( from james) will be ready by summer unless I need to know where is best location for 110 ( Wrasse specis tank only) :D

  13. I haven't chance to find out the problem. I have something happened this weekend so tomorrow I will check it out,

  14. Anyone has expreienced with Korilia 4 problem? This morning I find out that Korilia is dead. not working well. I kept cleaned every sunday. I don't know why wont working well? less than a year. Tomorrow I will tear it apart and see what is wrong? Now I have one #4 function and another one is dead. will able running for a while until buy new one? will not effect to SPS?

Right now approx 1700 gph in the 75 gallon.

  15. We have two mediun size Red-Ear sliders Turtles, we decided to want give two turtles to a better place who will adores them, cuz we are looking a house hunting right now.

We want move in the house in few month like around of march. We already packed the stuffs and to have a little stuffs to move out.

I have 75 gallon right now, and 110 tank is in the storage and 40 breeder is in livingroom. we prefer aquarium instead of repitles.
