I just stare the tank every morning before going to classes. today my first time saw three white milky discharged from live rocks, different local of LR.

I am not sure its "fertilizer" come from somewhat? its come from pores.

also, I have counted there are 20 or 30 + bristle worms in my tank. from baby to 2.5 inches. need to removes or get 6 line wrasse fish to eat it?

I not had invert or algae cleaner yet. plan to get one from river or other. I am not sure.

Ask your opinion about invert that I need for my reef tank.

The parameter was good, all is 0 and the PH is between 8.0 to 8.3

but I ordered salifert test from Saltwater.com, there are calcium, Alk, PH and Magnesium, should be come in this week. check with Calcium for reef tank.

not to hurry to get invert but maybe in 2 week when my paycheck is come.

Most corals dont' like direct, laminar flow which is what many powerheads produce so you want clashing flows, bouncing flows, etc.  Try to angle so you get a variety of movements.

You mean I need to put the flow angle down to 25 degree? instead of 45 degree? and also try to flow toward to front of tank and other powerhead direct to center or go to rear of tank?

I checked the website about Hydor FLO's Look impress, sound good deal, I will order two of those for maxijets.

I decided to order two maxijet powerhead for the tank, I planned to added some SPS, LPS and coral for the tank.

One is 1200 and one is 900.

I need your feedback, I am not sure which to direction and point the powerhead to to keep water movement. I did put two head upward to surface,

you use ato in the return area. my return area is lost some gallon of water. I will look it up for ato from ebay and other store. I am planning not to use it direct from Ro/DI. will buy 5 gallon jug and hole the bottom of jug with hose direct to ATO to Return area? will be fine?

also one question for you.. about 10 % changes drain water from DT with hose and added new salt mix with RO/DI to skimmer to replace? how it process, This is my first time with sump, I did with dt but now with Sump.

slow dripping or how much water will removed from DT?

any idea where I can install auto top off for my sump. I has lots of water evaporate. water level in DT and skimmer area has stable for few weeks but the return area has lose about 2 gallons every 2 or 3 days.

I wonder that I should install auto top off in the return area? I already bought RO/DI unit.

the test for KH is above 214 ppm.. should be 240 ppm, if my assume.. That is too high? Ph is range about 7.6

What is the number PPM for KH ideal ppm for reef?. I use aquarium Pharm test kit. I just bought it from River city.

I don't have Ro/Di, because I lease the rent property, Management dont want any object t on the property. I bought the purifed water 5 gallons jugs from Lowes and Distilled water from wal-mart, not RO machine, bottle ready.

I have CS skimmer and one powerhead that I have is 120 gph. wait for backordered.

The tank just step up last month ago. there is no inhabitants.

I added distilled water for top. the water losing about 1 or 1 and half gallons per weeks.

water change with mixed salt.

There are green algae grew a lot. not serious, just like 1/8 inches.

No feeding, there is nobody in tank just 35 lbs live rocks and indio-pacfic sand from Ocean homes Etc.

I doesn't have alk test, wait til this friday, I will get the test kit. I only have Nitrate, nitrite, ammonia.

Today, I took test, they are all 0, but Ph is low.

I have tried to pull PH to ideal 8.2, right now my PH is somewhere below 7.6, I can't figure what the point for PH, my test kit is Aquarium Pharm.

I can't tell what is exact. I use Ocean Pure salt mixer.

currently I use SeaGel, Carbon and Phosguard. because I have problem with brown diatom. I using purifed water from Lowes Jug. I keep 10 to 25 percent water change.

I think the place is good is the area near Slaughter and the south of Austin, there are starting to expand. I think the best place is south Austin and can drive to TSD about 10 to 15 approx minutes away. there will be no problem, TSD will offer the Bus for your daughter to transporting to TSD school. whatever I live in rent property that I have see the place.

I think about going to have sump for my reef tank. I looked at power filter and CSS 65, look uncomfortable and produce too many bubbles whatever I did added to full water almost topside and still bubbles. I think that I would want to have sump instead of HOB on the tank.

I think about to have 20 gallon tank, and I need your input to how mesaured baffle for sump. I think about to have small refrigum and skimmer and return.

the length is 30 if I am correct? I haven't buy the 20 gallon yet, the store were out of stock. I have looking other store.

how much inches will be apart from baffle to other baffle? baffle size is should be 12 inch length and 8 inch width? Should be about 5 baffles?
