  1. They are terrazoanthids. They are NPS, and can be very difficult to keep. In order to thrive, you will need to spot feed them several times a day with a zooplankton and phyto.
  2. This right here ^ I haven't checked ph in I don't know how long. Dinos are not hard to get rid of in my experience. I dosed H202, and in a week they had disappeared. They showed up in another of my tanks, treated the same, they are gone. I dose kalkwasser in my topoff for alk and ca, routine water changes, no other dosing is done routinely. You might look into dosing H202 to get rid of the dinos (are you sure that is what they are?). Ok, I missed the post about the H202 dosing, sorry. Maybe a pic? That might help.
  3. Niko, are you having a specific problem with your tank? How long has it been set up? If you have livestock in it, how does your corals/fish/snails look? Test kits can freak us out unnecessarily. If everything in your tank looks good and is happy, do NOT make any sudden changes. Please tell us a little about your system and what, if any problems you are having. That will help us give you better advice.
  4. Some flatworms can be really, really bad. You will need to do a bit of research to figure out what you have, and if they are harmful. Some just irritate the corals by crawling in them, others actually eat the corals. What do yours look like? Can you describe them..........color/size/number? As far as zoapox, go to zoaid.com and look for the article on treating zoapox with Furan-2. As far as I know, that is the only thing that anyone has found that works. You can get Furan-2 at your local fish store or petsmart/petco. It's a pretty common fish med. I've used it to clear up a fungal infection on zoas, it works pretty darn good.
  5. Any ARC members planning on coming down to hear the MAAST speaker tomorrow, or for the meeting? Please pm if you are, I am in desperate need of a favor.

  6. Updated FTS of my 72g reef And my 75g predator. The lights were about to go off, everyone was bedding down for the night.
  7. Man, I would be scared to even try. If I *had* to do it, I would shut off skimmers, return pumps, anything that sucks air, then seal the tanks with two layers of plastic duct taped at all the seams. Honestly, I think I would call an exterminator rather than bomb. I dealt with a bug infestation a couple years ago. My house was sprayed with a product that produces no odors, and he was very careful around the tanks and the birds. I had no losses. I had to get the dogs and cats out of the house for two hours, so I moved them into the travel trailer. One treatment was all it took, and it was well worth the money spent for the peace of mind. Having a professional do it made me rest much easier, since he was well aware of the fact that I had expensive fish and even more expensive birds.
