  3. It isn't very elegant, but you could pick up a $10 clip on style fan and point it at your sump to see if it helps.

I picked up of these types of fans last week and have it blowing across the top of the water. My temps have stabilized between 79-80.....before the fan I was creeping into the 83-84 range.

  4. I had a few small aiptasia that I kept battling with. I would squirt them with vinegar, which would knock them out, but I would find more later.

I picked up 3 good size peppermint shrimp from Mama and have not seen an Aiptasia in my tank since.

  5. I know it sounds silly, but are you sure the bulbs are seated properly?

Also, what kind of fixture is it? Retrofit, or off the shelf type unit? It could be a ballast issue, but without swapping it out with a good one I wouldn't know how to check.

I know that with my retrofit setup when I changed bulbs recently they flickered and then went out when I powered up. It turns out that one of the bulbs wasn't in correctly.

Your LFS might be able to help diagnose also.

    Good luck with it.

  6. Congrats on the success so far! I do enjoy checking out the tank after lights out. I am always amazed at the critters that come out at night (ie bristle worms, brittle stars, pods).

SPS recommendations might be birds nest or plating montipora. I have had good success with both in my relatively young setup.

  7. Liz, here are a few progress pics of my montis. My calcium regularly measure 400 when I have it tested at RCA. I do not dose currently. My T5s are in need of replacing too, but everything is still doing well.

  8. Do you have any pictures of the fish?

What kind of clown is it? Size? How long have you had it?

Have the Tomato and the clown coexisted without issue?

    Prices?
