Update:
I still have the mushrooms, kenya tree (colony), and GSP available. I am open to trades in zoas or sps and I work in N Austin.
I can also make frags of the armor of god zoas if there is interest.
Here is a shot of the mushrooms (the biggest is ~1.5" dia):
Here is the armor of god mother colony (polyps are ~.5-.75" dia):

I believe that Birdsnest (Seriatopora hystrix) is a good beginner SPS coral. Another good one would be montipora capricornis.
I have been growing both under 3x39w T5HO and have had no problems.

Thanks for the frags Stephen! That is an excellent tank and I could have spent another 1 hour looking at all the coral, fish, shrimp, etc.

Great video post Mark!
It's a simple fact that kids love fish tanks.
All 3 of my kiddos enjoy the tank. The oldest (3) likes to stand on the step stool and claim that he is a fish worker. My middle one (2) loves to point out the snails in the tank. And my youngest (5months) gets great head control exercises when I hold him by the tank or park him in front while in his walker.
Not to mention the benefit of using the "kids love the fish tank" justification to leverage for a larger tank. I mean seriously, who would deny their kids the learning opportunity that a great reef tank provides? My 65g was great when there were just two kids, but really, we all know that kids need a minimum of 30g to be happy and healthy........so I am planning on a 180-200g system. That should provide plenty of room for enjoyment in the years to come before they outgrow that system.

I was actually looking at your list of goodies. I figure the best thing for me to do is just come out to your place You have some nice zoas (watermelons and dragon eyes) as well as acros (birdsnest) that I might be interested in.
-
The tank is looking great! You have some great looking fish in there!
-
I still have all but the monti confusa available. The AOG frag has grown another head of two as a bonus.
I also have about 6 frags of GSP that can go for $5 each.
-
I have some blue striped mushrooms, anthelia, or green star polyps. Let me know if you would be interested in any of those.
Thanks.

Sounds good Mark, thanks! I will send you a PM once the group buy starts to work out the details.
-
I am planning on getting either a 2 part starter set or a refractometer.
Does anyone want to combine for shipping? I work in N Austin and could arrange to pick it up if you live/work in the area.
-
LOL, just what I needed....another ebay auction site that is fairly local. Thanks for the heads up.
-
Jon, the Confusa frag is yours. PM sent.

I have the following pieces to sell as I need to make some room:
1) Monitpora Confusa (encrusting off plug) - $10
2) AOG 4 heads on a plug - $10
3) Green stripe mushrooms - small 3 heads - $5
4) Green stripe mushrooms - 8 heads $10
5) Kenya Tree (colony) - $20
My GSP needs to be trimmed. If you want I can make frags.
Same goes for the Anthelia.
Item#1 - Monti Confusa
Item#5 - Kenya Tree
Also open to trades....looking for some green cap, zoas, or whatever else may be interesting.
Thanks.

Try using brass hinges. You have to be more careful with the metal since it is softer, but I believe brass is fairly corrosion resistant.

That is a nice looking setup. My 3yr and 2yr old boys really enjoy the fish tanks and especially like going to the fish store. I imagine when they get older they will have their own fish tank to take part in.
-
I also have some mushrooms that I would like to clear out. They are blue striped mushrooms.
I have 1 oyster shell that has about 8-12 heads and another rock that has probably 3 on it.
Let me know if you are interested.
-
I was looking at picking up an Eshopps 12"x4" frag rack or perhaps the corner rack, but I figured I would post here to see if anyone had something they were looking to get rid of.
Thanks.

That's funny....I bring my wife along since she will willingly pull the trigger on a coral purchase, and at that point who am I to argue with her?
Showing her the AAF auction site resulted in a near addiction for both of us.

And they are open on Saturdays from 1-4pm. There is plenty of beautiful corals to drool over.

AAF is definitely one for the list! Aquatek, River City, and Fishy Pets fulfills all my aquaria needs.

2 stores that I have never visited are Gallery of Pets and Amazonia.

Update: It was great to meet those folks who bought things!
Anyhow, everything is gone except for the kenya tree (this thing is tall when fully opened ~8"). Anyone? Toss up a trade or something
