Gig 'em @ NDstructible
I've been diving and snorkeling in Fiji this week. Thought I would share some of my favorite pictures! I love anemones, so you'll probably see more photos of them than anything... Saw a couple S. mertensii anemones. These things are HUGE in the wild!! BTAs, as usual making their home in the center of coral colonies [emoji23] Haddoni anemones are found so shallow in the water during low tide! Huge tabling acro colony Beautiful color combo of these Christmas tree worms, maroon and white! Found a zoa colony under a rock outcrop half exposed to air during low tide. Also a surprising amount of flow going over them. A "high end" mont, aka M. palawanensis

Christyef
Thank you for these! The zoas being out of water for any amount of time and thriving is fascinating to me. I know it’s not imperative that corals (except sponges) be submerged all the time. I wonder how long they’re out of water due to the tide.. anyhow, looks like you had a great trip! Did you see any fish besides all the happy clowns? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Christyef
I didn’t know you were a big anemone fan... was that a rib poke to Ty about his upcoming CSB dole out.... [emoji848][emoji6][emoji6]Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Otherwise the fish is too far away in the photo and looks very small in the photo. I don't have the patience to sit and wait for fish to come close up on their own for a shot. Clowns are an exception because they're so aggressive in guarding their anemone that they come out towards you to chase you off 🤣

We have documented battles on texts about anemones (yes, this is what reef geeks text about). They're a good read. Keeps him trapped in his house or whatever room you use it on 🤣 Sorry Ty, low hanging fruit... that even you can't grab. FarmerTy
I woke up to beautiful pictures of natural reefs and ended it with getting ragged on. [emoji22] I'm starting the anti-Ty-bullying campaign. As soon as I figure out how to get out of the house with this dang gate in front of it and eat a snack from this fruit I can almost reach.... Just a little further and I got it... 1

Gig 'em @ NDstructible
Likely my last photos. Most of the shots I took yesterday were too blue or blurry, but here's a few at least.Probably the nicest acro I've seen in Fiji so far, orange/red with blue growing tipsThe biggest emperor angel I've ever seen. The abyss A neat sea slug in the sand at low tideSome more zoas found in a fairly wavy area at low tide It looked nicer in person...I wish I could capture the magnitude and beauty of a reef scene, this will have to do

We're only talking about you having the frag bag inserted for what - 20 hours? You can do it. Think about the club, man! 😋
