Also picked up a green slimer. Then I stopped by Ty’s house and grabbed a couple frags. Got a tyree rainbow stylo, Oregon tort, and a satosa! Should I do a small 10% water change to get them a little lower or just leave things alone for the time being? This is from years of getting stuff in my tanks I didn't want. Jen_McG Posted June 22, 2018 Author Share Posted June 22, 2018 Little update, frags and fish are doing great. Do have a cyano outbreak so I broke down and bought a bio pellet reactor. Should be here soon. Also started running gfo through a filter media cup. Hopefully that will help some. Added kalk to my ato, after my ato dumped a bunch of freshwater into the sump. I’m really confused why when I fill the up the reservoir later it just dumps water until the float valve stops it. Seems like it’s only an issue when I fill it up. Now I’m kind of worried about the problem since there’s kalk in there. Any ideas? If it is then maybe the pump has created a siphon and water flows even with the pump off. If not then first thing comes to mind is one of the sensors is not working. One tells it to fill when low and the other tells it its full. The full is not working. The float valve is the back up. The float valve should stop it close to where the full level is. Its looks like its close to the full sensor level. If this is correct and its taking that much to fill the sump from low to high then you need to place the low /full sensors closer together if you want to use that ATO container. Hopefully the eye isn’t bad I just bought it a couple months ago. I’ll try to line them up better like you said and see what happens.
