jsr
Hi everyone. It's been a while since I was actively posting on here. Things have been really busy with work and some medical issues. Anyone have recommendations for a place that does aquarium maintenance? I have been so tempted to break the tank down, but I really dont want to leave the hobby right now. Not to mention, the return on investment is not that great for my setup. I would love to have someone come in and clean this thing up and get me back into the spirit. I look at it and just don't know where to start. James
+dapettit
Tank maintenance ia not cheap. I know Aquatek offers it and I think Jake at River City knows some one too. Dave-
Derek
The maintenance costs are definitely not cheap. If you have any buddies that are also reefers you might be able to coax them into help you out.
Bill B
If I was going to have it done commercially I would have Misti at Sea Clearly do it. 600-4779 - seaclearlymaintenance.com Bill
Laura
I use a very professional company to help me maintain the 10 aquariums I have. The name is ZUERST Exclusive. The owner is Justin and he is a Marine Aquarium Specialist who can be reached at 512-869-9149. He is pristine clean ,very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. He comes with a list of references.
Fisheye
I highly recommend Kingfish Aquariums. Their work speaks for itself. After seeing a couple of their customers' tanks, I knew I would choose them. I encourage you to do the same. Call Brian at 512-775-6555. jsr
Thanks everyone. I only need a one time cleaning so I will consider the suggestions above. Heck, I may even post a "help clean my tank party" and supply drinks and BBQ for whoever wants to help me out. I could use some advice and suggestions. AlexKilpatrick
What does a cleaning service do? I'm not interested in hiring one, but I am curious what they actually do. Clean the glass? Empty the skimmer?
doktorstick
Take out all the rocks and scrub them with a toothbrush (/me pokes Carrie).
