Wade
I've got these white slimy tendrils all over the place in my struggling frag tank. Any ideas what it is or what causes it? File Sep 03, 12 26 11 PM.mov
jolt
Really hard to tell from the video. Candidates include coral slime, dinoflagellates, mucus from wrasse sleep cocoon. Scratching my head ...
Wade
Most of the coral has perished in the transition from my DT to this little frag tank when I sold my tank with me house a couple of months ago. The slime is never ending. I clean it out and it comes right back. I thought about coral slime but I didn't think there's enough live coral left to produce this much slime. No fish and no dinos that I can see. Been scratching my head over too...
Gig 'em @ NDstructible
Looks like coral slime to me when SPS are exposed to air, touching each other, or generally upset. Do you see any slime on the corals you have?
Wade
Yeah it's hanging off of most of the coral skeletons that are in there so maybe that means those coral are bleached but not dead. So if it is coral slime, I just need to find out what's making them unhappy.
