MrZ2u
I think I have too much flow over my frogspawn and I am adjusting that but a small piece of it broke off, I mean like smaller than a pea. Two little green bubbles. They have come to rest in a spot on the bottom with no flow to knock them around. Will they start growing on their own? Second question, flow...none, low, med, high? pros and cons?
Peter Gott
I've heard that these little pieces can grow into a new polyp, but I've never seen it.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
mFrame
I've had similar pieces from frogspawn, torches, and hammers, but never seen one grow from just the flesh.
MrZ2u
Well its hidden from the flow in a cavity in the rock so we shall see what becomes of it...not really getting much light where it is though.
Timfish
If it's one of the tiny baby polyps that start around the perimeter of a mature polyp they will grow and eventually form a new colony. Frogspawn can tolerate very low light, just a few PAR so if the pieces have a skeleton they can survive and grow in low light conditions. If the pieces are just part of a tenticle that broke off I'm with Peter and Mike, they probably won't survive.
