I'm looking for a frag of pink jade. I'm gonna start adding so sps to my biocube 14. Pink jade was one of my favorites in my old tank. I would love to find a frag from my old colony, but won't hold my breathe. Here is a pic for reference. post-574-147191466403_thumb.jpg

Check with gig'em. He should have two versions of it, one he got from me a long time ago that is the Tubbs pink jade and then one I got from Vietpride who got it from Dale (acropoorer) back in the day. Not sure if that one is a Tubbs but coming from Dale, probably is.

Wizard actually got it from me. I got it from John G. Him and Dale got it together I'm sure. That's awesome. I was hoping to find at least one of my old corals.

That's awesome! Corals are a fun way to track your degrees of separation from other reefers.

I'm not concerned about "lineage" for the most part. I just would like to eventually have some of my old coral back. I think it would be neat.

It is a cool feeling. I hooked up greenmako with an Oregon tort frag from his original colony help bring to Austin 9+ years ago.

Sweet. That pink jade was the first acro I bought. I paid like $10 for a 1 inch frag. John cut it with me there. I glued it to a rock in my 55 "sewage dump". I only had 10lbs of rock and a bunch of crushed coral. I bought compact pc bulbs from someone on this forum. The first water sample I took to Jake showed brighter red than the highest number on his API nitrate test kit. Back then Carlos still owner RCA. Needless to say the pink jade completely browned and didn't grow at all. Then when I finally upgraded tanks it grew into the colony in the pic.
