Bpb
Probably one of the small Tunze skimmers? Victoly used to run a great looking Biocube he may chime in
Neon Reefer
If you want best performance then go with an HOB hang on back skimmer and there is a plethora of them out there that are quality skimmers from Aquamax, Eshopps, Reef Octopus etc... There are some pretty good nano skimmers from Hydor and Eshopps to fit in the back of tank, but they will never skim as well as an HOB
Timfish
Don't feel you have to have a skimmer to keep corals. I have systems that have been doing fine without them for up to a couple decades. Click on the red youtube button in my signature to see videos of some of my tanks. To get a better undestanding of what skimmers do and do not do read Feldman's articles on Advanced Aquarist: Granular Activated Carbon Pt 1 http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2008/1/aafeature1Granular Activated Carbon Pt 2 http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2008/2/aafeature1Total Organic Carbon Pt 1 http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2008/8/aafeature3Total Organic Carbon Pt 2 http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2008/9/aafeature2Protein Skimmer Performance, Pt 1 http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2009/1/aafeature2Protein Skimmer Performance, Pt 2 http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2010/1/aafeatureSkimmate Analysis http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2010/2/aafeatureBacterial Counts in Reef Aquarium Water http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2011/3/aafeature

Reburn
Tunze 9002 with relocated magnet, air line mod. Cad light PLS50 elite Pretty much the best nano skimmers hands down. Not sure if they will fit in the bio cube compartment. I would Google specs.

If you have a parasite or pathogen a skimmer isn't going to help.
Courtney Kulafi
I would like to recommend the best cheap protein skimmer, I heard good things about this skimmer and this skimmer works fine. So you want a cheep one Oct or coralife is the cheapest I'd go.
+FluxCapacitor
I have a small eshopps nano skimmer that works well and is magnet mounted in the rear sump area of my 14G cube. I don't like having anything that holds water outside of the tank like external pumps or reactors. That is just personal preference like many other things in the hobby.
