lenver
My zebra eel was dead, after looking at all that could of happen it could only be the new scallops I picked up yesterday at heb, all the fish and corals are ok. I only fed him one yesterday and looked ok, didn't really paid attention this morning but when I got home I saw the head out of his shelter and I knew he passed away. This sucks. lenver
There is no other explanation, I should of known better, sometimes they treat the seafood, I'm thinking the Asian food market is probably a better choice Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
+KimP
That's so sad! I'm really sorry. I have an eel too and would be very upset if he died. What would they treat the seafood with?

Timfish
Most seafood is treated with sodium triphosphate (active ingrediant in spic &span) or sodium polyphosphate. Your eels death also may have not had anything to do with what it ate. Unfortunately we do not have any diagnostic tools to figure out what our animal die of outside of visual inspection and a handful of test. Having a fish die suddenly is certainly distressing but your eel may have had a problem that started weeks or months ago.
lenver
I know what you're saying tim, but I really don't think it was anything else, but as you stated there really isn't anyway of knowing Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
