Have you decided which inhabitants will be using the light source? At 5W to the gallon, I would consinder your light intensity sufficient for most any photosynthetic inhabitants. For a deep water theme, you would need more blue in your light spectrum. Get ready for the heat from MH and never put a canopy over it unless you are trying to hold the heat in.

I've got 250w of MH over my 29 :), which i consider to be on the high end and requires both light spill management and temperature management (evaporation fan and chiller). it's a pendant fwiw, and I would try to mount it out of canopy if possible. many consider 10k to be a little more yellow than is palatable. Popular color spectrums are 14k-20k.
