Wade
Is this one of those snails that don't move, but release like a web to catch food?

Wade
Thanks. From what I'm reading I may want to manually remove it before one becomes 100. I've read that hermit crabs may eat them, but I've got plenty of them and it lives. I've also read that copper banded angel fish eat them but will also eat small polyped corals. esacjack
they dont always multiply insanely, unless you overfeed your tank.... i have a huge one on a candy cane colony. If you really dislike it, just rub a dab of reef glue over the opening.
Wade
Can they be safely scraped off? I hate that it's attached to a coral.
Chad and Belinda
they dont always multiply insanely, unless you overfeed your tank.... i have a huge one on a candy cane colony. If you really dislike it, just rub a dab of reef glue over the opening. We bought some corals years ago that had these things all over them. We just glued over the opening and that was the end of them. If you leave them they will spread every where.

I hate that it's attached to a coral. you can, but that doesnt do anything but force them to move.. just dab some reef/frag glue over the opening in the tube.
