esacjack Posted July 6, 2013 Share Posted July 6, 2013 Does anyone know what the dimensions (inner or outer) of an AGA 40G Breeder is (glass edge to glass edge) ? I know the measurements 'edge to edge' are 36 3/16 18 1/4 16 15/16 AGA (Aqueon) What I'm unsure of, is how much of that is padding due to the trim on the tank. My rough estimate was something around 15 3/4, but judging by the chart, that would mean nearly an inch of trim. All illustrations I've seen of the tanks LWH dimensions seem to take the trim into account. However, when cutting a replacement panel, or adding baffles, it'd be helpful to know the individual sizes. Timfish Posted July 6, 2013 Share Posted July 6, 2013 I think the measurements you posted are for the outside edge of the trim to the outside edge of the trim. If you measure the outside glass edge to glass edge in the middle the measurements should be 36" long and 18" wide. The inside measurements for length and width will be 1/2" less than this, the sides should be a 1/4" thick but it's possible they are 3/8".
