mrshall1027
How do you determine how many fish you can add at once? I'm sure the size of the fish has a lot to do with it, but is there some type of calculator or is this just based off of opinion? We are hoping to start stocking our 135G by the end of the month and will be starting fresh. We have a clean up crew that we'll probably add to it in 2 weeks. We have 260lbs of live rock, a coralife 150 cone skimmer, and a refugium with tons of pods being added from cultivation done during the last 3 months in a separate tank. (Bio)³
I doubt you would ever add too fast, just check the parameters and do water changes if needed. I care more about tank heirarchy than adding to fast. Correct order of tank mates matters it seems.
mrshall1027
Here's the potential stock list. I'm planning on ordering most of these through Live Aquaria and would really like to get free shipping if possible. This would probably be around 6-10 fish depending on which ones I go with first. I will add all three tangs together last. Live Aquaria has a few of these fish out of stock right now, so I won't be 100% sure of which ones I'll actually be able to get when the time comes. Melanurus Fairy Wrasse African Leopard Wrasse – one male, one female Orange Stripe Prawn Goby Diamond Watchman Goby Blue Eye Golden Midas Blenny Australian Black Percula's x 2 Purple Firefish x 3 Heniochus Black & White Butterflyfish Kole Yellow Eye Tang (add last with other tangs) White Cheek Tang (add last with other tangs) Blue Caribbean Tang (add last with other tangs)
kingjames
depending on how long the live rock and tank have been established, but 6-10 fish in a 135 shouldnt be to bad IMO

Timfish
+1 to both Offshore and (Bio3) point about hierarchy. Surprisingly heavy stocking levels can be achieved but you will have more problems with some fish getting too much food, other fish not getting enough, personality issues and these can develop years after fish are added.
Entropy
Imo these are all simple adds: Melanurus Wrasse (you need a lot of sand for this guy) Orange Stripe Prawn Goby (you need a lot of sand for this guy) Diamond Watchman Goby (you need a lot of sand for this guy) Blue Eye Golden Midas Blenny Australian Black Percula's x 2 Purple Firefish x 3 These are hard especially with the competition above for similar food sources. African Leopard Wrasse – one male, one female These are iffy (temperment): I would add these at the same time down the road after the list above gets good and settled. Heniochus Black & White Butterflyfish Kole Yellow Eye Tang (add last with other tangs) White Cheek Tang (add last with other tangs) Blue Caribbean Tang (add last with other tangs) I know that kills your free shipping plan, but 15 fish is a lot to add at once.
