Peter Gott
I know it sounds crazy, but I'm making a pest aquarium, and I want any majanos you run across, and maybe other pests as well--just let me know what it is. I have enough aiptasia anemones and gorilla crabs already, though; and majanos are definitely what I am most interested in. Thanks! 8}

bige
I have a type of anemone the is about the size of a half dollar. I looks similar to a majano but doesn't reproduce very fast.
Peter Gott
Yes and yes! As long as it does well in typical reef aquarium parameters, because that's what this is running, I'm interested. bige
Do Xenia and Gsp count?
Timfish
What about yellow rock/eyelash polyps? Anyway I've got a bunch of majano's in a bucket for you. Grog, how about an update on your mantis? Is he still cohabitating with your damsel?
Peter Gott
Hahaha I love that you asked that, bige! It is actually Xenia which gave me the idea; I use them in my fuge for nutrient export. Timfish, you're amazing! Thank you! I didn't expect this much of a response. I'm out of town at the moment and won't be back til Monday. Being majanos, I think they can survive in that bucket, but if not I can arrange for my friend to pick them up for me. I'm going to PM you for pickup info.
Peter Gott
Also, thank you Grog! It was born out of continually picking out crabs from this sweet aquacultured live rock I got from the gulf and wondering about the use of pest anemones as nutrient export.
