theresa
Come home from work today my NEM was turned upside down on the sand bed. Turn him over and placed on a rock and left alone, later again he is upside down on the sand bed again. turned over and was looking at him, His center (mouth) is gone. Is he going to die? mFrame
What kind of anemone?
theresa
I am not sure, got it from Aqua Dome just a few weeks ago. Kind of had a light orange tips.
Timfish
Was this the anemonie in your 14 gallon we just replaced the PCs with the BML LED fixture? It hasn't actually lost it's mouth it's just relaxed so you are seeing it's stomach. It's not good if this is happening but try putting it in the shade. When I used to get wild collected anemonies this happened pretty often after a few weeks or a couple of months. I very very rarely see this with tank raised BTAs
theresa
Thanks Everybody. must have been wild cause he didn't make me and Nemo crying together. Gong to do a water change now.
SoggyDollar
Sounds like a sabae anemone. I had one that my pep shrimp kept messing with. I found it upside down several times, one time with what looked like the shrimp munching on its foot... Do you have peppermint shrimp?
