I noticed a small colony of something living on one of my Florida rocks. I'm pretty sure it's benign, but I'm curious if any of you have seen it before.

It's too small to get a photo of. It looks like several tubes around 1/32" in diameter. The tubes are not calcareous, but soft. There are some small fanlike projections that can fully retract. I was thinking fan worms, but the fanlike projections flouresce green under blue light, similar to many corals.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I suppose it could be those...they are far away from anything and haven't grown fast at all, so I guess I'll let them be for now.

That would be my guess as well. I've had some and they looked about like miniature metallic green fan worms.

I see no problem with these miniture fan worms. In fact, I would consider it a good sign of a healty mature tank.
