JamesL
The warm weather has prompted us to be working outside a lot more lately. After re-finishing our deck, I looked at our deteriorating pond, and decided it was time for an upgrade on it. Four an a half years ago when we moved into this house, I built this one (pictures are from it's prime): It served us well, though due to leaks was getting tiresome to maintain. (BTW, all the rocks used are from our property) So here is the results of a day off from work. It still has some more minor work to the ponds themselves, plus I am going to crushed granite in around the whole pond area. So far I am please with it. You can see a stream from various directions heading towards it. I know we have some other fantastic ponds here with our club members. So post them on up! +Hydro
I have to get some more recent pics of it, I've had it up for about 4 yrs. There are 2 ponds and a creek, the lower pond has a pool pump that pushes water up to a smaller pond that is uphill...it overflows and runs back to the larger pond though a creek. We put heavy duty pond liner under everything, it has a larger leaf skimmer, and a sand filter. We built the bridge and put in lots of landscaping, including several different water lillies and 60 tons of sandstone. These are from 4 yrs ago, right after we got through with construction. I'll take new pics soon, it looks a lot different now.

JamesL
Yeah, I am not showing my wife those pictures ... then she would want something like that! That looks great! We have a natural dry creek bed that runs through our back yard, it would be nice if it actually had water in it all the time.
