stoneroller
Many months ago I picked up this chalice at the dome. Hunter and I both thought this creature below it was some short tentacled anemone. Not so, IMO, heads have been growing all around and feeding polyps were visible at times. Today I captured some sweepers. Clearly the chalice is not gaining ground on this guy. LMK if you have some ideas on genus.
Timfish
Does it have a skeleton? I've seen references to colonial anemones which I understand are not true anemones but grouped with polyps and mushrooms, the strawberry anemone from California being one I can think of but it's a cold water animal. Here's a interesting website for anemones if you want to look through it: http://www.actiniaria.com If it has a skeleton I'm guessing at maybe a Blastomussa or a Mussimilia, it doesn't look like any Duncanopsammia I've seen but I haven't seen everything yet

stoneroller
Yeah, it has a skeleton. When I tap on it it recedes llike a coral rather than an anemone. Australomussa rowleyensis? I wish! Some cool colors.
